Waiting to be seen- no confirmation I am even in the list and no replies to any enquiry or idea of wait time. Phone staff seem to have no idea what is going on. Very worrying and stressful experience.

  2. Review titled When trying to ring they hang up before answering.

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 March 2023

tried 5 times to ring the main phone number for blood tests and they kept hanging up without speaking or answering the phone. I feel very upset and disappointed with this. The phone number I used was 0208 194 7490. Extremely sad and upset. All I wanted to ask was if it was okay to walk in for blood test. Simple query.

  3. Review titled Exemplary Care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Came into A and E with my 2 year old, the staff were outstanding and gave us so much due care and attention. Each one was so careful to make my son feel at ease and treated him with such patience and kindness. We had to wait a while but I understood we weren't high risk and we got updates from everyone. All the tests and procedures were carried out in good time and we felt beautifully taken care of. I am very grateful to the staff there that treated us but I also saw the cleaner going round the children's A and E area doing a fantastic job too. Thank you

  4. Review titled Awful experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had an operation on my eye at st Thomas and all went well. Others were not so lucky and been waiting weeks to have theirs and it kept getting cancelled at the last minute. After the operation I was given a follow up appointment at another hospital over two hours from where I live. Traveled there to be told I was sent by mistake and should have been seen by my surgeons. It is absolutely impossible to get in contact with anyone who can help.

  6. Review titled Fantastic treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have nothing but praise for the thoracic surgery team and nursing support. The work of the surgeons, invisible though it is, and the compassionate support of the nursing, physio, cleaning and catering teams made my surgery and initial recovery a very positive experience. Cleanliness was paramount, with floors washed and beds changed every day - very different from my local hospital. Strong, effective management clearly enables all the staff here to do their best work here. I hope not to have to go back, but if I need any further treatment it will be well worth travelling to Guys, which really is excellent.

  7. Review titled Awful experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Waited ages for an appointment which left me completely confused of next steps and the process. Rang up multiple times to be put on hold for hours. Staff had no idea what they were doing and kept telling me someone would be in touch who never was. Was passed around different teams constantly and it wasn’t clear who I should speak to with any follow up queries. Absolutely appalling.

  8. Review titled Wonderful staff on Gynecology ward

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rebecca Brown - Posted on 12 September 2022

I have been admitted to gynecology ward on a few occasions over the last two years. The most recent being a week ago. I must say I am incredibly grateful to the staff on that ward. They are so kind and so caring and made me feel so comfortable in their care. I felt as if I was the only patient they had to care for (it was very busy last time and I certainly wasn’t the only patient). The staff there do their utmost to make patients comfortable and they genuinely care about their patients when their patients well being. They are all an absolute testament to the trust and I shall be sending them a thankyou card very soon.

  9. Review titled Great experience overall

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by S Sengupta - Posted on 05 September 2022

I’d developed an unknown allergy and went to the Accident and emergency. They took my vitals, gave me some meds to alleviate the condition and everything was done within minutes. I was asked to wait to get checked up but had to leave on my own after a few hours because I was feeling drowsy from the medication. I would like to emphasise that the wait isn’t an issue as usually there’s a wait time of 3-4 hours and they deal with cases based on severity. I was feeling all right so I left but can’t complain about the level of care and treatment the practice offers even when overwhelmed with multiple emergencies. A big thank you to everyone in the practice.

St Thomas patient transport is not fit for purpose, one late for pickup then a two wait for transport home
