Called 111 and was advised to take my 4 month old baby to the urgent treatment centre immediately. We had to take her to a&e as urgent treatment was shut. That was fine. but we then waited for over 7 hours in a&e with a very young baby that couldn’t breathe properly. Eventually we asked for a self discharge form as we felt it would be faster to book an app with our gp as it was opening shortly and they’re fantastic. They assured us we would be seen shortly and the urgent treatment centre was opening in 20 minutes and we would be the first to be seen. I have now been sat in the urgent treatment centre for an hour waiting for my appointment while everyone come and goes. Genuinely disgusted by the poor communication, sub par service and lazy attitude of some of the employees. Mainly the receptionists I might add. Please understand that a good portion of the employees are genuinely hard working but some do not posses the empathy required. If this is where my extra national insurance is going then I’m better off on the dole. Avoid at all costs and while I’m at it 111 is Tom Hank as well.

  2. Review titled Atrocious service and care by initial A&E receptionist

Atrocious care atrocious respnsability response to my husband who was going unbridled a diabetic coma. I was told he's ok let him sleep it off. I said you don't sleep off a diabetic hypo or hyper the NHS respond and treat it, it took two other a&E patients to get staff to listen

  3. Review titled Awful service and communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

After visiting a&e by my doctor was sent to medical care centre over the road then was sent back to a&e after seeing nurse had to wait to be escorted back . The women escorting me back gave paper documents . 4 hours later received phone call asking where I was as they was calling my name at urgent care . Turned out gave wrong paper documents so was calling out wrong name for two hours . Finally saw doctor who said needed scan for blood clots but as were closed she gave me paper of appointment for Wednesday 29th 12.30 then to sdec . No appointment was booked in for scan or sdec expecting me . Spoke to women in charge at sdec who apologised because time off and come to hospital for nothing booked in again . Suspected blood clots and hospital treats you like this . Hospital gets worse not better .

  4. Review titled Awful communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

Terrible communication between departments led to no compassion, poor advise, and ultimately terrible mental state following devastating news. Whilst the illness itself could not have been prevented, they way in which it was managed was poor.
