I had requested that a dermatologically trained GP, who was going to be the Duty Doctor the following day, take a look at a surgical wound that practice nurses had been unable to cope with - prior to me going abroad the day after. But instead of being contacted the following day as promised, I received a quite illiterate text message 5 days later whilst abroad. ‘…you was seen….take the antibiosis….’ This level of communication - which does not even allow you to respond - does not reflect well on the practice.

The practice houses my regular GP and due to a UTI, I have been taken care off by the exceptional team. Apart from seeing a Doctor, I also saw a Nurse twice as couldn't deal with the pain I was experiencing. She made me feel valued, truly demonstrated care and compassion and did everything she could to make my voice heard and deal as best with a plan to get better. Yesterday evening, I was advised to attend an urgent care clinic at a particular hospital, where I am now, being looked after. Thank you you so much to the Nurse, I unfortunately cannot name and the team at Queenswood Medical. I am so grateful.

In these times of continuous negativity about the NHS I felt compelled to leave a positive review. I had an emergency appointment with a paramedic, conversations and call backs from GPs, all at Queenswood and an then an efficient service and X-ray at the Whittington hospital all arranged by Queenswood medical practice. The whole experience and ongoing care and communication has been excellent, and that’s from the administrative team, the paramedic and the GPs. I should add that I’ve always had good care from The Queenswood medical centre. Thank you.

I have just had a very good experience with one of the nurses. The nurse was both professional and skilful and also put me at my ease during the procedure. I have found the practice to be very responsive and I have never felt that I can't speak to anyone. I have found all staff to be highly professional and respectful

This is my local GP practice and I've always received his care from them. I recently had a really positive experience in relation to a smear test. Like many, I've previously found this experience to be stressful and painful. The nurse who did the procedure for me was incredibly calm, kind, reassuring and made me feel like she had time for me. Her care has really changed my perception of this important procedure and it will have a long-lasting, positive impact on my wellbeing.

There are quite a few doctor’s surgeries near where I live, but I chose to travel over a mile to Queenswood Medical Practice simply because it is the best medical centre I have ever visited. It is very clean, quiet, well lit & spacious with a tranquil atmosphere. The waiting area is relaxing & comfortable; there is even a nice café & an in-house pharmacy on the ground floor, plus a car park for those who drive. Moreover, the staff are very helpful even when they are busy; my G.P. is always cheerful & approachable. I highly recommend Queenswood Medical Practice to anyone who resides within its catchment area.

Poor reception team, there was a long queue of people waiting with 1 receptionist working. The queue watched whilst a form was completed by another patient at reception, thus holding us all up for 30 minutes. This was inefficient and a waste of everyone's time. The receptionist ought to have asked the form-filling patient to step aside and reassured them that their place would not have been lost but there were others waiting in line with their medical queries. This was not done. When challenged with this observation and asked why the practice would not work more effectively the reception reacted with anger - raising her voice. The receptionist then became very defensive / passive aggression just ignoring any request to speed up the service. The form-filling customer reacted aggressively and I felt unsafe. This should have been avoided but was not as the receptionist failed to reassure them. Therefore creating an unsafe environment. I asked to speak to the team leader, who then told me to wait 2 minutes, and did not appear at all. I query whether the reception team is well led and responsive to people's needs. I query whether this is a caring practice based on my observations of the Admin team.

First the reception. Her tone was really rude and with lack of empathy. Waiting times 30+ minutes just to get to the reception. They don’t allow you to see the doctor, only phone assessments. When I received the call in two days, the GP didn’t have the patience to explain who they are and they just hung up the phone, without any means for me to contact them back. I also have another bad experience, where my private doctor wanted to update my patient record, they wrote to them and the GP hasn’t bothered to update my medical record. Third world healthcare provider. Avoid

As I am unable to search for you on our system based on the details you have provided, I have replied to some of your general queries below. We have a queue buster service on our telephone line which allows patients to press an option to hang up and receive a call back from the surgery. This will avoid any waiting on the line and you will be called back when you reach number 1 in the queue. We also offer face-to-face appointments with our clinical team and have been doing this throughout the pandemic. Please ask our Patient Support Team for more information.
