Rang up a few days ago to make an appointment for my son who is 20 and unable to make the appointment hes at work and tried several times on his breaks but couldn’t get through. Appointment made with the receptionist. Today I rang to check the date I had entered it wrong in my diary. Explained all I wanted was to check the date nothing mentioned about my son’s medical history records just the date. Refused to be given the date I explained that I had made the appointment myself with the other receptionist to be told this person is not in so could not check with them. Can ypu imagine how this made me feel especially when i was told actually it wasn’t yesterday you made the appointment! Sorry it could of been Thursday. Made to feel a liar I fully get consent and discussing patients details and the reason behind this. I said he would not be turning up for his appointment because we are not sure of the time. After being talked down to she then said she can send him a text. She could of said that at first Instead of being obstructive and misusing her power she obviously has over anyone who is at her mercy when ringing up for help. I am currently looking to move surgeries just reading reviews, how poor is this no wonder patients wont go to see GPs when they have health issues and ignore them.I am disgusted at how I was spoken to . So i just put the phone down because the person had an hidden agenda misuse of power.

Still only offering telephone appointments as they only have one doctor there and don't offer suitable appointments for people who work.

  4. Review titled Not so great

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Tried for 2 weeks to get an appointment, keeps cutting me off, then no appointments left. Tried the out of hours, either don't answer or expect me to walk down Hollins Road at 7.30 at night, to see their doc. 70 years old, and don't go out in the dark. Told reception been to pharmacy, who say sounds like a chest infection, told to keep ringing every morning! Constant coughing, and lost for words......
