  1. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen by the practice nurse for my health check and she was fantastic at putting me at ease. We talked and laughed (in a professional manner). She understood what I was saying and never judged. My appointment was on time and not rushed. Definitely a great experience.

I was seen by the GP today in the new increased hours service on a Saturday . I was seen quickly by the GP who issued me a prescription that was ready to collect that evening. Great service and lovely staff members.

  5. Review titled unsafe

i don’t know how this nm health innovations group is able to open more services or keep the ones they have open. impossible to get an appointment. receptionist are rude and have no respect for confidentiality. why are you unable to book an appointment without telling the receptionist why? If I need a longer appointment I will ask. everyone should have access to health care & it’s unsafe to wait for 4 weeks plus. shouldn’t have to beg for a appointment

Dear patient. Thank you for your feedback. Our reception staff are trained to ask certain questions, not only to gauge the length of appointment needed but to ensure that you are seen by an appropriate clinician. Within the practice we have GPs who have chosen to do further training in areas such as minor surgery, dermatology, rheumatology etc. We also have other healthcare professionals who may be also to assist in patient care also. This is why we ask for a brief overview of the problem. We have increased the number of appointments available. The current wait time to have a routine GP appointment is less than one week. I will pass back the concerns regarding the attitude of reception staff re rudeness. Regarding the point raised on confidentiality, I would appreciated if you would contact me by email with further detail. We do appreciate feedback and try where we can to make changes to improve our service and the patient experience. Julie Southern Population Health Manager julie.southern2@nhs.net

Failed to call me back on 3 occasions when I said I wanted to compliant they cancelled my appointment and refused to treat me! How the NHS and CQC let these continue to operate given the multiple negative reviews is beyond me

  7. Review titled Poor customer service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After trying to ring to surgery prescription line for 45 minutes and my daughter needing medication ordering I decided to go and order at the surgery instead. Upon arrival I arrived to two receptionist speaking between themselves regarding holiday prices. Even after seeing my waiting they still carried on their conversation. Once been greeted by the receptionist and quieried my daughters prescription, I was told they would need to request This to the GP. What shocked me the most was Inbetween a conversation with the receptionist she received a person call which she answered in front of me. I was shocked belief. I am a reception manager myself for two facilities and the customer service I received was shocking. Also why do patients have to be asked to wear masks but not staff…

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. We have recently changed the phone system. This should help with accessing the service by phone. With regards to the in person service I can only apologise for your experience. This is not the standard of service that we would expect or desire. We are continually trying to improve our service and staff have customer service training annually. Kind regards, Julie Southern Population Health Manager julie.southern2@nhs.net

  8. Review titled Repeat prescriptions

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I tried to order a repeat prescription on line vua NHS app and Patient access yesterday to discover all my repeat meds have been removed from my list. I then tried to call the prescription line at the surgery to be on hold for well over 40 mins, 7 minutes at number 1 in the queue! I was then informed by the receptionist that my life-saving insulin had been removed from the list along with my anti-depressants simply because it was just over a month since I last ordered some! So obviously its assumed my diabetes is cured!! I have also tried to make an appointment on line to discover the 19th May is the next available appointment. Fortunately my complaint is not urgent but I really feel for those who have more significant illness who need to see a doctor.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We have listened to our patients and changed the phone system. This has improved access by phone to the practice. I would appreciate if you would email me directly regarding the medications as we would never leave patients without medication. We have increased the number of GPs and other healthcare professionals at the practice and therefore gaining access to a clinician should not be problematic. Again, thank you for the feedback. We do listen and make changes to improve the patient experience. Kind regards, Julie Southern julie.southern2@nhs.net
