  1. Review titled Lost prescriptions

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 March 2024

Over the last 5 years 3 repeat prescriptions have got lost on the reception desk , the reception staff are not polite except for one nice lady who is not there all the time. I have missed calls because of call guard function on my phone and the mobile signal here is poor and i get cut off . I work and am unable to carry my phone around with me and cannot have the doctor ring me back at work. I was once told the doctor or nurse could not deal with more one condition at once so i have to wait till i have another day off to try and get a phone call back no face to face and how are they going to see or understand what is going on over the phone . Very sad as this could be a nice surgery . The reception staff need to be shown how to talk and help people better . If i could i would use another surgery but i do not drive .

  2. Review titled Incompetent and unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

Reception staff are rude, uncompromising, unfriendly and have all the people skills of a great white shark during a feeding frenzy. The doctors do not listen or take in what you convey to them as despite many conversations on the same subject, prescriptions are still incomplete, wrong or just not passed to the pharmacy. Staff turnaround is obviously large as I don't think I've seen the same person twice...the only constant are the rude and uncaring reception staff. Don't recall ever having a face to face with a doctor (is there one in residence). Despite complaints verbal and written to the practice manager (someone else whose about as elusive as the scarlet pimpernel),none have been answered and remain unresolved.. It's about time the governing body read the reviews on the government website, trust pilot, Google reviews etc etc and stepped in and gave the place an enema.... My advice is if your looking to join this GP surgery don't until it has been sorted out.a 1.7 rating on about all review sites doesn't inspire confidence..Would you buy a product online with a star rating this low probably not,and this lot are supposedly looking after our welfare....steer clear until there is a massive improvement in professionalism and reception staff attitude.

  3. Review titled Extremely Poor Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Scott - Posted on 07 November 2023

I recently joined the practice from a local surgery (Swallowfield). I have various conditions that require treatment via medication. This is done via a repeat prescription. I joined the practice in September, it's now mid November and they still haven't managed to get any of my medications added to a prescription, this is now becoming extremely urgent as I am running out. I have been sent around in circles by this practice, asking me to email, call, make appointments, every action results in another action, for example if you email, you're then asked to call, if you call you're then asked to email. It's never ending. Reception staff are unhelpful, the one Doctor I've seen hadn't even heard of one of the conditions that I have. My previous practice was far more professional.

  4. Review titled Good luck getting an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

There used to be a great online booking service to get to see a doctor, you might have to wait 3 weeks but that was OK. Now you are restricted to phoning the surgery in the morning when they open to get an appointment, trouble is there are a lot of people doing exactly the same so by the time you get to speak to someone you are told there are no appointments left, call back the next day. Sadly this practise gives the impression its open purely for the convenience of the staff employed there.

  6. Review titled Disgraceful.

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery is a nightmare. Reception doesn’t care, they are rude and don’t listen to you. It takes on average 45 minutes to get someone on the phone and they can’t seem to be able to give you an appt time, they just tell you ‘doctor will call you’.. at some point in the future? Useless. If you do manage to speak to the GP, you might as well don’t. They don’t listen, they talk over you and they tell you they need to Google your symptoms (not even joking…). The surgery is generally really poorly run and I have been let down over and over again. I have finally decided to leave them as a patient and try my luck somewhere else as I honestly believe this is the worst in the area. All the reviews i’ve looked at confirm this as well
