    My two weeks stay for physio rehabilitation could not have been bettered. The whole staff all the way down the line were most caring and helpful. To leave so much more mobile than when I started is testament, not only to the wonderful physio team, but also to everyone who contributed to making the stay a very friendly experience.

    The level of care and compassion I received could not have been better. Every member of staff, not just the nursing staff but the physiotherapists, cleaners and cooks, were so helpful and polite and friendly. I do not think it possible to receive better care. While I do not recommend anyone to have an accident resulting in them needed rehabilitation care if they do then try to be sent to Hawkhurst. I had two stays as I was returned to the acute hospital having become in need of acute treatment and on my return two months later staff remembered me which shows the care and attention given to patients. Special mention must also be made of the chef who in addition to providing excellent food has created a hospital garden providing fresh vegetables for meals. I cannot more heartily praise everyone who looked after me, there are simply not enough superlatives to do the job.
