I would like to praise the team at the Urgent Treatment Centre. On arrival the receptionist was polite and friendly, I then found the nurses and Advanced Care Practitioner efficient, kind and caring. An all round excellent experience from a great team!

The staff at the centre were excellent. The doctor knew I would need further help at another hospital, as well as being extremely kind and helpful, he gave me information to pass on to the next hospital I had to visit. Many thanks to all staff.

  3. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After calling The Deepings Practice on Friday lunchtime with a suspected UTI (I've had them in the past so know all the symptoms), I was told there were no appointments, not even phone appointments or advice from on call doctor, in the past I've managed to get diagnosed over the phone and had antibiotics within an hour, this time I was advised to go to Peterborough or Spalding and that's just for a regular UTI. I decided to see how it went, but by Saturday morning it was much worse, so I went to Johnsons hospital at the opening time 8am. The service there was impeccable from start to finish, reception was quick and efficient as was Triage, the doctor I saw was brilliant, she checked everything and diagnosed correctly, from arriving to leaving it was 40 mins, the prescription was sent through to Deeping St James pharmacy and I picked it up on the way home. Deeping need to sort things out and take a leaf out of Johnsons book, I will be recommending to friends and family in the future.

  5. Review titled Waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had blood in my urine and with it being a bank holiday I contacted NHS111. I was advised to contact my GP and if that was not possible to choose another option, one of which was to visit the Urgent Treatment Centre at Spalding. Thinking that getting through to my GP the next day after bank holiday would be busy I decided to go to Spalding (with a urine sample as advised by 111) thinking I might need antibiotics. Perhaps I should have called first because when I got to the Spalding UTC I was told in no uncertain terms by a stroppy, unfriendly receptionist that I couldn’t be seen, that I was wasting my time and theirs and that I needed to see my GP the next day! It feels like the NHS don’t care about patients

  7. Review titled Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Such a lovely experience, friendly staff, the doctor we saw for my little boy was great, knowledgeable, and put us at ease with our options for tonsillitis. Quickly let us know the issue, and in terms of wait times you couldnt ask for much quicker in an urgent care centre.

  8. Review titled Outstanding Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I took my 2 year old son for bloods to be taken. The care we both received was unbelievable, they made me feel confident that my son was in the best hands. From start to finish there is not one aspect of the appointment I would change. You have made this experience for son a positive one. Thank you all.

  10. Review titled Shocking service over bank holiday

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 January 2023

I was referred with an appointment from 111 with severe chest infection, had waited many hours for call back and then more hours before I attended my appointment, on arrival I was told it was at least a five hour wait, even though I’d been waiting at home for over 9 hours, the receptionist was very polite but re-iterated that the wait was at least five hours and that they closed at 8pm in which case I’d have to go to a and e, all I needed was antibiotics as I didn’t want to be in hospital with pneumonia! The service, kindness and general set up was shocking and I heard the nurse saying that people should not stay and go to a and e, to the point I felt that if they were to focus on seeing patients rather than focus on getting rid of people the situation may have been better, the time to process patients seemed laboured and not time effective, in fact the down time between each triage seemed to be a very long time. I waited for while and decided that I could not face waiting all this time in an uncomfortable place for hours on end. I explained quietly to the receptionist and told her that I could not face waiting with no guarantee of being seen, I had done the right thing but ended up with no antibiotics , I am still unwell, two days later, no help, I was shocked at the lack of organisation and lack of planning with medical staff focusing on areas quite obviously being managed by the very nice receptionist. Who was fielding all the difficult questions. Very unhappy with the service we pay for, I would also like to say that whilst there are issues with the nhs, being grumpy with patients is a personal choice and not the fault of the government!
