All I have to say about the Bolton Psychological Service is they don’t have any empathy. Don’t understand how you are struggling and offer you what you have informed them you don’t want as it hasn’t helped previously. The call has left me feeling more isolated and angry. Dreadful service overall

I struggled with extreme anxiety and depression for a year. Was on medication for this but needed something g else. My Doctor referred me to this service and I had regular telephone cognitive behaviour therapy sessions over a space of time. I built up a rapport with my counsellor and trusted him, which enabled me to speak openly about anything and everything. Helped me talk through my struggles and come up with coping mechanisms which were and still are helpful. I would recommend to anyone. I’ve seen previous review and my experience was the opposite. Very understanding, compassionate and empathic.
