  1. Review titled Bad Service Overall

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have had multiple referalls to Prescott House. All referalls have been rejected and not one reason has been given. I contacted them to be straight forward and ask for the reason as I need a diagnosis. They told me they couldnt find a reason for the rejection on record, told me to ask for another referal. If i do ask for one, this will be my fifth or sixth referal in the past two years and i can imagine it will be rejected again.

  2. Review titled Terrible service

I have received shocking care from this service. No one answers the phone, workers don't return your calls. The medical team need to involve patients in their own care. During a review I was told that I wasn't answering the questions, I was but sometimes I didn't know the answers. Doctors appointments always make me nervous and being mental health staff they should be aware of that. Instead I was advised I was being obstructive and asked if I wanted to help myself. If I could help myself I wouldn't be there. Sometimes my mind goes blank and I find it hard to think of the answers, but this was seen as I was being difficult. I hated appointments with the psychiatrist and it made me nervous when I knew when my reviews were. I was expected to discuss things that I didn't always understand. I'm not the trained professional here

  3. Review titled Fabulous Team

Nervously attended appointment but soon reassured by reception staff - she was a bit shrill and very northern , but apart from that, really quite nice. The waiting room wasn’t full but as the northern woman explained, this was because Prescott House prides itself on seeing people on time - not letting them wait, in a drafty knife arena. I applaud this attitude, but was rather less impressed by the patient- made ceramic mosaic on the wall suggestive of a cat urinating into its food bowl. Sometimes “ kind “ in occupational therapy efforts should mean “no” rather than “great- you’re doing so well” . Not withstanding this , I was escorted to a lovely room with a substantially built psychiatrist ( who apparently replaced a rather emaciated, but charming outre older psychiatrist), who was spinningly lovely. Poured my heart out and didn’t object to thousand yard stare and occasional yawn. Felt so much better after ventilating. Will be coming again as soon as I can manufacture more complaints to bore my GP with.
