    Dad was referred as an urgent case in early June and a admin staff came in and met us on 16th June. We have not had a follow-up appointment after that and have highlighted that dad has visa issues and has been detiorating. The receptionist who answered the phone was quite curt and rude to me and then to my wife. I highlighted to her that she was rude and she asked me to complin if I wanted to! - My worry is that not only have we not been serviced coming in as an urgent case, but also no clear time of action has been shared, in addition to been treated as if we are third rate citizens!

    I went in for emergency treatment. The Dentist looked at the tooth where I was experiencing pain, and decided it needed a temporary filling - the tooth was filled without any cleaning beforehand. I visited a pharmacy on the way home as I needed stronger pain killers. The Pharmacist was suprised I had not been prescribed antibiotics, as he believed I should have been when I explained the pain was running from the tooth and into my ear - which had also been explained to the Dentist. When I woke up the next day, my gum was swollen and tender, my face puffy, and there was still pain running into my ear. After many phone calls (and one received from a lady calling from the community dental clinic from Upton hospital, saying I should enrol for an nhs dentist, or go private, and that the Dentist there was refusing to see me) I ended up having an emergency appointment elsewhere. It was confirmed there I had a Absess - antibiotics were prescibed. The treatment I received in Upton Park was far less than what I deserved. People in the medical profession have a duty of care - and Upton Park failed miserably.
