  2. Review titled Unhelpful

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 April 2024

I was there today this morning for an ultrasound referral, I was told to be in at 9 am sharp to be reviewed however, when I arrived They had no idea about my ultrasound referral and made me wait two hours to be seen by someone to be told that I’d have to wait either today or tomorrow for the ultrasound. When I spoke to one of the receptionists in regards to not being able to due to having lectures and asking several times if they’d be able to call me, they refused and told me that I have to sign a refusal for treatment which wasn’t the case. I felt very unheard and honestly disrespected by one of the nurses as she had the attitude that she didn’t want to be there she didn’t wanna help.

  3. Review titled Dirty, scruffy, depressing!

by Tony - Posted on 04 April 2024

Needing an Xray on my wrist (my GP had already triaged the injury) I went to Hemel Hempstead Hospital minor injuries unit. My first issue was parking, not only is this expensive, but also difficult to pay for, cash or via app only!! My second issue was the depressing state of the Hospital buildings which were dirty, depressing and dysfunctional. I can understand why staff lack motivation and spirit having to work in such conditions! My third issue was the staff, who seem to have adopted the characteristics of the environment in which they are being asked to work. I didn’t get my X-ray, and I’m afraid my mental wellbeing will not have been positively affected by the experience.

  4. Review titled A&E

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Wendy - Posted on 11 January 2024

I unfortunately ended up in A&E for 8 hours after Christmas, it was grossly overcrowded and to the onlooker seemed totally disorganised, but, the Doctors and nurses are truly something special, Their hard work and dedication is second to none, they don't have time for anything but trying to care for their patients under very difficult circumstances, are totally overworked but just keep going. If the staff were working in a new or better hospital it would really be something special. If I could rate them on their own it would be 5 stars.

  5. Review titled Superb dentistry department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 May 2023

I needed a molar tooth extracting. The entire experience, from the admissions secretaries, right through to my dental surgeon, assisting doctor & nurse, were superb! What made a potentially frightening experience as bearable as possible. 72 hours after surgery, no pain, no pain killers needed and no infection. I can't thank these lovely people enough and commend them on their high-quality work.

  6. Review titled ambulatory care Watford

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Derryn Borley - Posted on 20 February 2023

Physio sent me to Ambulatory Care on 15 Feb for possible DVT. Returned on 20 Feb for a Doppler scan. OK, there was a bit of a wait- notice board said possibly 4 to 6 hours -but the receptionists, nurses, doctors and the vascular technician were all so kind, professional and helpful. Thanks to all of them.

  7. Review titled Surgeon's and Senior staff amazing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Deborah Stent-Basford - Posted on 19 April 2024

I was very poorly and the staff were amazing and had my best interests at heart all the time and I was luckily enough to get through my illness thanks to the care I received. Once on the main ward it was a different experience but I was on the road to recovery so I was so grateful. Junior nurses forgot to give medication but it was hopefully a learning curve for them.
