    I had transferred to Minerva after 10 years of care at Wrightington Hospital and was due to attend Minerva at midday for my first appontment. from the car park I was not sure where the actual entrance was and had to walk around the area in atrocious weather to find the entrance. I had prevously called to ask how long my appontment would be and was told 30 minutes approximately. I arrived at 12.15, soaked through with rain and apologised but I was told by a receptionist that they only allow 10 minutes after an appontment time and I had therefore missed my appontment and Minerva would contact me at some point in the future with another date. A nurse then came out to see me and said they could not hold the room as another member of staff needed to use it and so I had to make another appontment. I have had to wait up to 2 hours on many occasions in the past to see a specialist as they were seldom in their office at the appointment time but clearly 10 minutes is the cut off point for those, such as myself. Please take my advice and ensure you get to your appointment on time.

  2. Review titled Blood clinic service

    Turn up at 8:30am 30 minutes after the clinic opens and was told it’s full and I will not be seen. Seating are was not over flowing and the clinic should have been open till 11:30am. This is not the 1st time. NHS staff put sick people under a lot off stress. Having to make several trips just to give blood.

  3. Review titled Diabetic specialist nurses, and dietitians.

    Nothing but praise for these ladies. They know what they are about, and this instills confidence in my ability to manage my diabetes. Before attending the Minerva clinic, managing it was not much more than a calculated guess.. Thankyou all concerned.

    For the past 3 days no one has picked up the phone so I can cancel my husband's blood appointment. It's disappointing as we are constantly being reminded that missed appointments cost money. He will miss this appointment and through no fault of our own, are unable to let them know. Very poor service.

    Absolutely amazing experience I had with some lovely ladies in the blood clinic. I am always so nervous and scared to get blood tests done and they were so bubbly and took my fear into consideration and made me feel so much more relaxed! Would definitely recommend, best experience I have had!

    Recently had an appointment with the pain management team, all I can say is it was a excellent experience. They were helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable on all things to do with the issue you didn't feel rushed and they listened carefully to all the problems arising due to the pain problems. They answered all questions raised honestly and had advice for them all, would highly recommend them to anyone. Not that having a pain issue is enjoyable but if I had to go back to them again for another appointment I would not be worried in the slightest.

    Went for a blood test today and was seen in good time. Lovely staff, very friendly but professional and the nurse taking my blood was brilliant (I don’t give it up easily!). Highly recommend.

    Telephone service was down all day on Monday. Staff give conflicting and unqualified advice. One says my prescription will be raised automatically, another says I should have called in to request a repeat prescription. Due to collect prescription on Thursday before Easter weekend but even if they had requested the prescription, I can't attend that day due to another appointment. They won't allow collection of prescriptions early so I have to go without medications over the Easter weekend. Demanded to be removed from their practice and had to request my GP refer me to a reputable service in future.
