Some of the triage staff abrupt As a qualified nurse. I felt attitude was poor My husband had difficulty breathing and was told we think you need to see yourGP The general feel of the place was poor and unprofessional. Where are the doctors ??

Arrived at9.20 ,triarged quite quickly needing one part stitch on my face removing ,after two and half hours waiting had to leave without being seen due to another commitment, not happy with service at all

Came to have blood taken. I was told to sit down, one nurse had containers of food scattered over the desk and asked date of birth. It felt like her lunch hour was being disturbed by me. The other one hummed in a distracted manner and briefly made an indiscernible comment to her mate as she took blood. She made no efforts to ask if I was ok with the procedure. It felt like being on a production line.There was no interaction at all. They came across as sloppy and ignorant, won't be coming back. Please employ some professionals (or at least hygienic with some personality) in here! No respect or dignity shown.

I really find it difficult to understand what a walk in centre is really for through my experiences 4 in total in the last 2 years they have been zero help . They don't even issue antibiotics or penicillin when needed . I've personally found them to be quite useless. Usually it's a 2 hour wait to told wait and see your own doctor . If your lucky in a week or two.

I attended the clinic at the beginning of May 2023 in regards to concerns I had about my ear. I was unable to get a doctors appointment during the week, and I was in excruciating pain. It was swollen and started to bleed, clearly an infection, so following advice from 111, I visited Old Swan walk-in centre. After waiting for 4 hours, I saw 2 ladies who were extremely rude, one of them didn’t even greet me and spoke about me as if I was not in the room. One of the ladies after looking at my ear told me there is nothing wrong with me and “it was all in my head” and this was all brought on by me stressing over my ear, even though I had tissue with blood on from the waiting room! I finally was able to see a doctor over my ear at a practice as it was still bleeding, and they were shocked about what the walk-in nurses had said, as well as telling me I had an infection in my ear as well as an abscess that had grown in it. I was prescribed strong antibiotics due to the nature of how bad my ear was. Would not recommend this clinic, I was completely dismissed and felt uncomfortable due to the experience I had on this given day. The staff on reception were really helpful, as was the triage nurse. Just a shame the 2 nurses that saw me altered my experience and didn’t give me the care I needed.

I was told that , they couldn’t do anything for me and that my eye and cheek and under ear swelling would go on it’s own … felt around the swelling and said, there are no lymph nodes around your ear at the front! Well isn’t true .. as the doctor told me the next day .. as my swellings had got worse, that yes there was and I had a bad infection and gave me antibiotics straight way . I was made to feel like I’d wasted their time … when I’m turn , they had wasted mine !

Every time I've been to this walk it's been a complete waste of time you can be really unwell and nobody cares an out of hours gp told me to come here to be looked at today he also said he thinks I need antibiotics but he said i should get looked at incase it was worse and needed to go to hospital so I was looked at and I was given the wrong information I need antibiotics and they wouldn't give me them a few years ago I came here and they said the same thing and I ended up with septic tonsillitis I was really bad she had a quick look at the back of my throat didn't ask me anything and said today they want you in and out with no care I'm in agony I can sleep I'm taking the maximum amount of pain relief I've been like this 7 days and to leave me like this is disgusting

After being unable to secure a doctor’s appointment on multiple occasions, I visited the walk in centre under the recommendation of the GP reception staff. I was forced to wait nearly 4 hours(!) to be seen. When I was finally seen by a nurse, they recommended blood tests and a scan, which they said they didn’t have the authority to refer me for! I was then sent back(!) to the GP, for them to perform the same checks and recommend the same exact processes. What exactly is the point of this centre, if they cannot provide the basic services that doctors can? Surely they are meant to relieve the pressure on GP practices, when appointments there are impossible to come by! The painful hours spent waiting in this centre I will unfortunately not get back. Avoid wasting your time here.

I attended with my daughter Eve Schofield on Saturday 21st January as she had an extremely sore throat. We saw a nurse practitioner and unfortunately I didn't take her name. She was absolutely amazing with my daughter. She was so very kind, professional and caring. She clearly was very experienced and knowledgeableI was extremely grateful for the diagnosis and treatment of Eve. I would like for her to be made aware of what a special person she is. She is truly a credit to the NHS and to me she epitomises what the NHS is all about.

The staff are such wonderful caring I know we wait long time but they have a lot of patience there so caring more than I have ever seen so good at there job friendly and caring. I recommend here 100%
