  1. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 October 2023

I've been coming here for CBT for a few weeks now and my experience has been nothing but great, I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the Bridge Centre and I was nervous about going but it's so far been very helpful to me. Please if you need help, reach out. Don't let negative reviews put you off, it's been wonderful here.

  2. Review titled Worst mental health service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Refused to help me when I was on a breakdown of killing myself, told me there was no referral when there was 2. Told me it was out of there capacity to help when for medication and therapy when I am already with them. Worst clinic I’ve been to in my life.

  3. Review titled Appalling staff & Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Never experienced such a poorly staffed and under funded service by the NHS. Only a couple of their staff seem to be able to do their jobs and care. You get passed around a lot, and only get treatment if you keep begging. Took over 20 months to get treatment, which isn’t even a 1 on 1 psychology therapy, it’s an external service instead. They try to push you back to iTalk, irrespective of your illness. Group therapy is a waste of time as the nurse can’t control the group and it’s left as a free for all. Nurses talk about their own problems and don’t listen or read your file before speaking to you, often triggering you. The reception staff are either very rude or somewhat pleasant depending on who you get. They show zero compassion for the patients. The wellness team just tell you to go for a walk, or treat you like a child, just awful. Only 2 staff seem to be passionate about helping their patients, the rest act like robots ticking off a list. The psychiatrists are untouchable, only speak to them every 6 months if you’re lucky. Only 1 so far seems to have listened and shown compassion. The rest prejudge and just want you out of the room with your meds to fend for yourself. Staff love talking about themselves, and don’t actively listen. They seem to forget that mental illness needs compassion and active listening, not preconceived judgements and indifference. It’s very much a paint by numbers service there. If you can afford it, go private as you’ll either get worse or get hospitalised before they treat you. I’d never recommend anyone using this service.

  4. Review titled Not helpful atall

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been trying to get help from the bridge centre for 8 years now. I have researched the therapy myself which can help the majority of my disorders yet I am fighting with them to have this. Instead I have to hear about friends getting the help I have been begging for. They do not help atall and I feel they don't listen to you if the workload will become to difficult. I was told in October last year I will be given a care coordinator yet 6 months later I still haven't had one but know people who have got one so easy for alot less. They make you feel worthless and like you shouldn't bother trying to get help. I even had one assessment in 2018 where I was spoke to about the lady having a lip injection business and gave me her information. I was hoping it would have improved and could help me this time round but it's been proven again that they are not any help. I would not recommend to anyone
