Marvelous experience from start to finish cannot commend the staff highly enough, thoughtful caring, polite and very pleasant. Would like to say a big thank you to everyone from reception, to nurses and specialists for the care shown to me today.

  2. Review titled Caring and supportive staff

I visited the treatment centre at Burton as a day case and wanted to feedback how brilliant all staff were. They were all supportive, kind and reassuring at all times - both on the ward and in theatre. I also work in the NHS and know the pressures that staff can be under but everyone was fantastic and should feel very proud.

  5. Review titled Unpleasent

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I came with my friend to Burton accident and emergency via ambulance. They were suffering a mental health crisis and needed support. They were very distressed and after 20 minutes stood up and said they would discharge themselves we convinced him not too however when they mentioned this to the nurse the nurse smiled and said, I knew this was coming. Nothing we can do. No try to convince them to stay or support them. Luckily another nurse was on the desk who checked there notes and advised my friend they advise they stay and get seen by the crisis team. The way the first nurse came across was with no feeling or empathy. I think the feelings for mental health need to be better as my friend was already struggling and was quite emotional

  6. Review titled Fantastic Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Clare - Posted on 14 April 2024

After calling 111 and being given an appointment time, I arrived at Queen’s Hospital emergency department and was booked in promptly. I only waited for about 15 minutes before a very friendly and professional nurse gave me some anaesthetic in my eye, before removing two very irritating hairs from the back of my eye. She was fabulous and I’m so grateful. It was easy to park and only cost me £2. Leaving my house to returning home only took an hour and a half. Well done everyone and thank you!

  7. Review titled Excellent care given

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sara Venables - Posted on 26 April 2024

We were referred to the children’s outpatients next to ward 1 by dr muogbo for an examination and bloods for my daughter who had history of itp and coeliac disease as she had presented with a rash under her arms. Our gp wanted her to have bloods taken the same or next day but we were unable to book an appointment for several weeks for her due to her ago (age 10). I called and spoke to the medical secretary who was so understanding and was able to arrange for dr muagbo to call us back. I explained the issue to him and he said we could visit the hospital for her to be examined and have bloods taken. The staff next to ward 1 were fantastic, and so friendly, and we were able to get answers on our concerns and re assurance that everything was ok. We wanted to thank everyone involved who helped us to be seen the same day. You’re all amazing.

number I was given....over and over again. No reply. I tried many many times on Saturday. At 8 am on the Monday I began the many attempts to get through. No reply. I even tried again on Tuesday and Wednesday to apologise for not attending. No reply. Is an answerphone too much to hope for?

My 91 year old husband had a fall and had broken several ribs and punctured his lung. All the staff were really kind and caring. I can't fault the care and dedication provided at Queens, Burton. We are really and truly satisfied and grateful to all those who looked after my Husband. Many thanks.

  10. Review titled Great A&E care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tony Worton - Posted on 22 March 2024

Just a note to say how much I appreciate the care given to me at A&E this week. I went in feeling anxious and worried and came out reassured and relieved. The service I received in the department was excellent, especially from the staff in Triage and the doctor in the cubicle afterwards was first rate, that you so much.
