  1. Review titled All of the nurses, were lovely, chatty, reassuring and caring

    by Sarah44 - Posted on 10 November 2023

I had a knee replacement and was a little concerned that my wound was infected, so I called my doctor and the district nurse visited that same day, she changed my dressing, advised me to contact the doctor and tell them to issue me some antibiotics at her suggestion and she arranged for a second visit to change my dressing the following week. Ultimately I had 3 people visit (2 visits, as one was a trainee) all of the nurses, were lovely, chatty, reassuring and caring. I just thought you often get negative feedback, but my experience was extremely good.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Amy Paget - Posted on 16 June 2023

i had an initial assessment today before i start a 12 week course and i had a woman who was wonderful, and so kind. she made me feel so comfortable straight away, she was so friendly and down to earth and really was just so nice and relatable (without the circumstances it was like just talking to a friend) if i could put in her name i would, but she was so lovely and would recommend speaking to her one million percent if you could chose. very happy with how it went and she was just wonderful

  4. Review titled Dangerous- Cambs mental health crisis team

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 May 2023

Shocking and dangerous to people suffering a mental health crisis. A close relative had a serious breakdown and threatened to take their own life. I call the crisis number (111 press 2). And hung on waiting for an answer for almost an hour. During that time my relatives state of mind deteriorated rapidly. In the end I had to hang up and take them to A and E. What a waste of valuable time. If I had not been there to prevent my relative harming themselves, I don't think she would still be with us. Offering a crisis line that doesn't get answered is worse than doing nothing. The system is gravely flawed, seriously broken and downright dangerous.

  5. Review titled Absolutley shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

To be honest i think there is a clear lack of care throughout this service. Been struggling for years with mental health. Had an assesment but she was qualified to make diagnosis, but she was able to recommend treatment. That makes no sense. The only treatment being offered is a group treatment if i dont agree to that then ilthey close my referal and back to my doctor. Now for someone that already struggles socially and with anxiety putting someone in that position is horrible. There could be people in the treatment group that knows me, and honestly wouldnt want complete strangers to know what wrong with me. Also feel the treatment wouldnt be as effective as 1 on 1 treatment as everyone in the group will be affected differently by there issues. Yes some maybe the same but i need to c9ncentrate on myself and not worry about the others. Honestly my mental health i dont have the capacity to care about others. Also i dont understand how i can be sent for treatment for Personality Disorder without a diagnosis. Im sure i have more than just depression its been 7 years but trying to get properly assessed is so hard. And as soon as you show slight dissagrement to anything being offered thats it referall closed and have to go back to gp start the whole process again

  6. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jacqueline Elaine Thompson - Posted on 20 September 2022

I called 111 option 2 at around 10am this morning in floods of tears and shaking (in May 2019 I was diagnosed with Mixed-Anxiety-Depressive Disorder after I attempted to end my life). I am absolutely horrified at the flippant manner of the man who spoke to me, considering my state of mind: I could not stop crying, he kept interrupting me with silly comments and I hung up on him. Considering that this service is potentially dealing with people who could be feeling suicidal, this is disgraceful beyond belief. I received 3 voicemails on my mobile but they were either silent or incoherent. I then went round to my neighbour's house in floods of tears, this is disgusting, what on earth is wrong with these people.

  7. Review titled 111 option 2 (again)

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jacqui - Posted on 14 July 2022

This service really needs overhauling: I called earlier today while going through hell- I have mixed anxiety-depressive disorder. The person on the other end of the call exasperated me beyond belief by repeating that she couldn't understand what I was saying. I hung up. Where do they get some of these people from? They are actually worse than useless.

  8. Review titled Can't get any help 111 option 2 ( FRS)

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 June 2022

This service is disappointing to put it nicely. I have been batteling with some very difficult things going on in my life currently. To the point that I feel intensely suicidal. I've been calling FRS for the last 3 days now and it's difficult to even get through. To the point I am on hold for about an hour until the phone cuts out and drops the call and then I have to call again. The last 2 months I have been In crisis, now every time I call the tell me that I have a frequent caller plan. I have no Idea what it is but it's stopping me from getting any further support I.E seeing the home treatment team or even a hospital admission. They won't even let me speak to a clinical physiatrist. Plus me apparently having bpd is also not helping me get any further support as they see me just having a crisis for attention. I'm am honestly destroyed by this service for not even considering my needs as a person rather than a diagnosis. The mental health system has got even worse since FRS have been around the only decent thing they do is the sanctuary that is the one thing they are doing right.
