  1. Review titled The care I was given here was truly exceptional.

I had a stroke in August 2023 which left me paralysed down the right side of my body. After spending 2 weeks at the Queen Square and Royal Free hospital I was transferred to the neurological rehab unit at Edgeware Community hospital. The care I was given here was truly exceptional. The skill and patience of the physios was excellent and I could see significant improvement every day. By the end of my 5 week stay I was able to walk again without using a stick. The facilities are good and the nursing team were also fantastic - very attentive and caring.

  2. Review titled Amazing Care and Understanding

I had to come to your hospital for removal of pituitary tumour and stay on the Victor Horsley Ward. I want to say thank you to the consultants/surgeons and theatre staff for my care and success of the operation. I also want to thank the staff on the ward, the endocrine team and the staff taking my daily blood samples. You all made my stay with you bearable especially as my home was over 200 miles away. So a massive thank you for the care, understanding and being kind to me, I will not forget you and the dedication you gave to me. You are all heroes in my eyes, and exceptional in your roles.

  3. Review titled No Access to Ward/ Department

Rated 1 star out of 5

Needed access and advice to MS Nursing team or someone from the Neurologist Team. Tried contacting via phone/email due to concerns of patient and the adverse side effects they have experienced. Left messages, tried to go through switchboard, but they were unsuccessful also in trying to get the call connected, upon connection the line would be cut off or the answerphone messages would state there is no staff there to man the reception of those departments. From the onset, there was always reassurance that if there were concerns about the patient or their treatment that help was at hand. However, this has proven very challenging and very frustrating. Leaving things in limbo. This is not acceptable.

Right from beginning coming in for major surgery all the staff whom I met (even one whom booked my op smiled as I went passed.) treated me with such respect and dignity. They all helped ease my anxiety level's, nothing was a bother upon entering my time in recovery room and like wise as was wheeled back to Victor Ward. Thank-you.
