  3. Review titled Unprepared unprofessional security.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Cris Guereta - Posted on 12 November 2022

I was at the Hospital and I was poorly received by the security guard who was at the emergency door on 11/12/2022 at 7 am, extremely rude when trying to guide us he thinks he is dealing with thieves he acted as if we were, and then there when we went out he was laughing and looking at his cell phone and singing loudly in a mockery form, he was not professional at any time and I was watching it was like this with more people and always singing loudly and laughing at the reception of a hospital where people go sick and sad he should respect the people's pain. bad security work done by this man , instead of comforting us at the entrance to the Hospital , it left us more discredited .Sad day.

  4. Review titled Poor mental health support

    by Hopeless111 - Posted on 29 September 2022

It is hard to describe my feelings of mistreatment by Springfield University Hospital staff. I have been under the CMHT on and off for a number of years and the treatment has never changed, excuses and passing the buck are the norm here. I feel I have been made worse by staff here, not listened to, laughed at, and insulted. Before encountering these services I had a decent opinion of myself, now I see I was wrong and do not deserve support, or even a listening ear. It is really difficult when you need help and support but when you call in crisis you are hung up on. It is really difficult when you are given a diagnosis and only find out but requesting your medical notes, not knowing what this diagnosis means or the reasons for receiving this diagnosis. It is really difficult to plead for a psychiatrist appointment to discuss medication as you have not had one for 7 months (even though a three month review was promised at the previous appointment). It is really difficult to be told you are wasting the time of staff when you are asking for help. It is really difficult to highlight these issues via PALs and for nothing to change. It is really difficult to be told that YOU, and only YOU are the problem here, and that it is not down to a broken system. I really hope in years to come, mental health care changes for the future generations. This culture of blaming the patient and not listening to them needs to change. Perhaps focussing on the good qualities of patients would help both staff and patients, rather than insulting them and trying to bait them into 'being too unwell to help'.
