I have been using this clinic since it opened and it is clean and bright and friendly. They have Saturday and evening slots and have been efficient and friendly for testing and treatment. I have been able to book a day ahead but they also have some free day slots an hour or so after you go in.

No receptionists are answering the telephone on Wednesday afternoon so that I can book an appointment. Hopeless. It was much better when the St Barts Sexual Health Centre was operational - sadly closed.

Review titled Unclear booking of walk-in appointments

I went to the clinic at the opening time at 12.30pm. I gave my name and details and was offered an appointment at 13.30pm. The receptionist said I could wait in the waiting area but suggested coming back at the time of the appointment. I came back 10 minutes before just to make sure. Nowhere on the card with the appointment time I was given does it say to go back to the reception desk! So I assumed I was booked in and waiting my name to be called out. It said there was a wait of 90 minutes to be seen so happily accepted to wait, I understand the business. Only did it come up to 90 minutes did the receptionist say I was not been booked in yet and offered me another time of 6pm! To sit there for 2 hours (in plain site) to then be told I wasn’t booked in was extremely frustrating. I do think on the appointment card they need to say please go back to the reception desk as you are not booked in to make it crystal clear. When offered a time in an hour and you have given your details, you would assume you were on some list. Not the best really.

Review titled No rapid test and poor way to obtain results

It is standard to have a HIV rapid test, but they only tell you that it is not included on the dot, which is a bit of a waste of time. The staff members would tell you that the results would be available the next day by noon, but then when you call the automatic results service, it only keeps telling you that the results are not available. When you request to speak to a member, they have ridiculous office hours, such as 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. This system clearly disregards any patent's potential anxiety. Thus, even if the clinic itself is nice, it cannot mitigate the fact that other elements are appalling.

With better care and knowledge than my GP, this clinic took the time and care to understand the issues affecting me, and resolve in the most personable manner I've ever experienced within he NHS services I've had interaction with. I cannot thank the nurses enough for the quality of care and dedication to getting things right.
