I visited the hospital yesterday for a blood test, an ECG and an X-ray. At reception, there had been a slip-up about the date of the X-ray but the Eltham Medical Practice receptionist quickly corrected it so that I could have all three procedures in the same visit. It was obvious that there was a lot of building work going on because of the hospital’s development, and procedures were in different places but all the staff were helpful and guided me to the right place, often stepping when it was obvious I was puzzled - they didn’t wait to be asked. Everyone was friendly - I could see that other patients were being given the same help and guidance, so we are all really cared for. This move to more local community care is plainly part of the way the NHS must develop and change because of the awful pressures you are all under, and I wish you all the best in all this change! Thank you!

I was late for my appointment (beyond my control) however there was only 2 people in front of me, the rude lady taking blood tests said you’re very late next time you can’t be late (in front of everyone) I said my reasoning she said well that’s not my fault and I said well it wasn’t mine either, she said have a seat and we’ll see you if we have time, I was the only one waiting now she purposely called the next 2 people waiting even though they’re appointments weren’t for another 20 minutes! I know it wasn’t her fault but clearly the blood test waiting room was quiet and it wouldn’t have taken anything for a tiny bit of compassion! you never know what someone is going through

Absolutely lovely gentleman on the desk for diagnostics and ultrasound, managed to help rearrange my appointment when I was a fool and went to the wrong hospital! Definitely didn’t have to go to the effort and could’ve just sent me away to deal with it myself (understandably so!) but instead he took the time to call around and get it moved so I could have it at Eltham hospital that afternoon. Massively appreciate it, thank you! Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name, but he was working on the diagnostics sign in desk at 12pm, wearing a blue shirt and a northern accent! Thank you again!

Attended the hospital in January 2024 for a Blood Test and X-ray. The practice was running to time for the blood test and I was in and out within moment of arriving. I then needed to go downstairs for an X-ray, of which the receptionist and radiographers were extremely helpful. There was an issue with my X-ray letter and the radiographer went the extra mile to ensure I was receiving the right care needed.

I went for a blood test and the nurse asked me when my appointment was. I responded midday and the nurse asked "when is midday?" I was joined by an elderly lady who was using a walking frame. She stated the appointment was booked by a relative but staff couldn't find her booked in. No effort was made to assist the lady with booking an appointment and was summarily dismissed. The staff then had a chat for 10 minutes amongst themselves. A bit of flexibility wouldn't go amiss

I had an ultrasound scan and the result has been taking 5 weeks already. I have a referral appointment that I've been waiting for a month already and that would need this scan result but the result isn't ready as my GP says and no one is answering the phone in Eltham Community hospital (used phone from the appointment text message). I wish members of staff were more polite when seeing their patients. I was told off for my condition twice.

I had my blood tests today and stupidly left my paperwork at home. The nurse was lovely and very kind in letting me go home collect my papers and fitted me in a little later this morning. Very good efficient service in this hospital.

Was booked to have a blood test on this day at 5 pm. I come early thinking I help reception staff lovely. The nurse that took the blood at the most stroppiest bad arrogant attitude you will ever meet. She leaves the door open so people can see her doing her procedure which is very unprofessional because I wasn’t given the right paperwork she looked at me like I was dirt between her toes it can’t do it can’t do it I just walked out I have never met anyone so rude so arrogant and I support the NHS and the nurses pay rise, but this nurse at this clinic, bad attitude, female nurse, appalling, arrogant up her own self control, freak, nasty woman

Not very welcoming, it’s only a blood test I know. I was here 2 weeks ago though I came in afternoon the nurse that did my blood test then was brilliant. This morning not good at all no acknowledge at all really you know eg hi you can hang your coat here. Take a seat here. She didn’t turn round for paperwork when asked for it so I put it on chair then I sat down and she turned round as if to say who said you can sit there all I got was a growl where’s your paperwork I growled back it’s on the chair. If you had bothered to look and listen in first place. The awful thing was I was the second one that went in this morning. It’s put me off having a blood test shame as two weeks ago had a nice experience. I would not want to come here again
