Appointment booked in adavance, arrived on time to the brierley hill medical centre, absolute fiasco on the medical centres own car park, people abandoning there cars in places that were not parking bays making it impossible to pass, called the centre to inform them and was told was ok to still come to appointment even tho i was now going to be late due to inconsiderate others blocking clearly marked non stoping areas with there cars, managed to exit the car park after 10minutes of waiting for a car to be moved from the exit lane, to be told the appointment could not go ahead due to being late( after calling them to report on absolute joke of a car park). Baby is 6 weeks old and is a ongoing concern with the medical centre. Appointment now missed and no help or consideration from reception staff at the gp dept. Absolute disgrace.

  3. Review titled A Ghost Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Yvonne Stevens - Posted on 05 June 2023

My husband was referred to the service following a stroke. He has had one appointment where he was given a telephone number to call to make the next one. I have been trying to make this appointment since early May. I have called at all times of the day and no one answers just a machine. I complained to my GP who had made the referral. They had received numerous complaints and when they spoke to the service they were told that if someone called after 5 they could leave a message and someone would get back to them. I tried this but there is no way to leave a message. I do not see the point of a service that cannot be contacted. It is a waste of public money. I have even tried contacting the main switchboard at Brierley Hill medical centre at 9.30 a.m. and it was an answerphone message that told me to call back between 8.30 and 4.30 as the centre was closed. Unbelievable.

  4. Review titled Extremely poor service in podiatry

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Deborah Smith - Posted on 31 March 2023

After waiting almost 10 months for an appointment the podiatrist due to lost in system and numerous phone calls of chasing the appointment, the podiatrist was extremely late due to not checking the patients notes with the patient prior to us so she had got the wrong patient. When my son was seen he was diagnosed over pronation and offered a shoe liner. I questioned this as mechanical this liner would not alter his feet into the correct position. I had to insist my child was moulded for insoles. Fortunately I have some knowledge behind this type of problem but I pity those that don't as they are likely to suffer ongoing problems. I was told my son must attend the next appointment for fitting and I could not collect them myself. When we attended the podiatrist wasn't available and we was provided with the insoles without seeing anyone or having an anassessment. I then telephoned to ask for a second pair as my son was having to swop his insoles into his trainers at school and getting into trouble for not changing quick enough in PE. I was informed a second pair cannot be issued, I offered to pay for them so the receptionist booked an appointment. When we attended this appointment we were told you cannot have an additional pair and you cannot purchase a second pair due to no payment facility. I was then accused of being aggressive when I asked politely if I could speak to a manager. I was told she wasn't allowed to disturb her manager. At all the appointments my sons identity was never checked despite her making an error with a previous patient, I prompted her to check the details as I had little faith. My son was taken out if school unnecessarily on two occasions due to poor management of patients. In summary we had to constantly chase every appointment and had several cancellations and when seen received a poor and incompetent service. As I work in the NHS myself I am well aware what standard of service patients should receive

  5. Review titled Confusion abounds

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 May 2022

Had an appointment with podiatry, so was directed to the department on lower ground floor. After almost an hour waiting I was approached by a staff member who enquired if I had an appointment. It appears that I should have been directed to The Waterfront Surgery where another podiatric service operates from. After a rather difficult time with the receptionist in this other department who was sure the podiatrist wouldn't see me, I finally got 2 minutes (stretched to 15 minutes) with the podiatrist who referred me to podiatry at Netherton Health Centre, an appointment that could be 8 weeks time. I am somewhat confused as to where podiatry actually work from as I've seen someone at Stourbridge Health and Social care centre, Brierley Hill Health Care Centre, and Netherton Health Centre. It's little wonder the patients don't know where to go, and moreover the staff on reception a Brierley Hill are not aware that there are 2 podiatric departments in that facility. Shambles or what !!!
