I have received an excellent service from Victoria House. It is still ongoing and they understand 'ME' and not just my mental health illnesses.

  2. Review titled Left with psychosis.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a psychiatrist appt 9/1/24 o was diagnosed with adhd, at this time I was also awaiting new meds for bipolar, it’s now the 15/2/24 due to no letter being in place or sent to my gp I am unable to gain access to any medication that was prescribed by my psychiatrist, I have chased this 4 times, 2 phone calls promised, none received, 2 escalations, no further action happened, I rung Monday 12/2/24 to explain I was having stress induced psychosis due to being the sole Carer of a parent with terminal cancer and explained I absolutely need these medications, promised a phone call and as of today 15/2/24 I have received nothing. Due to my adhd diagnosis being new I cannot even go to my gp and ask for the medication for this because it does not currently exist on paper, I appreciate it’s busy and there isn’t many staff but I don’t think it’s acceptable to leave me in a position to go into crisis because of a letter not being typed out following an appointment.

  3. Review titled Service is dreadful

Rated 1 star out of 5

My service experience was meant to be designed to move on in my life. However, after using this service last year. It is not fit for the modern day. Reception staff when trying to get through to them is a nightmare. They state someone will ring you back(they never do). People higher up never listern, they is no form of communication. You ask for help it never materialises. Simply term is that they are more bothered about themselves than you. In experience it probably best to leave this service all together and deal with your own problems yourself.

  4. Review titled Horrendous excuse for a Mental Health team.

Rated 1 star out of 5

After being on a waiting list for almost 2 years, I decided enough was enough, and that inquiries were to be made as to when my next appointment would be made to discuss increasing problems with my own mental health stemming from c-ptsd, early trauma, and other conditions. Rather than accept my request for review by a psychologist/psychiatrist, the receptionist, in her infinite wisdom, deemed that an appointment wouldn't be made, but instead, Duty Team would give me a call back to discuss issues. After several conversations with multiple duty team workers over the course of several months 14 to be exact), one finally made an appointment for sometime in August (a good few months after the call from Duty team). On a call on the 9th of August 2022 in trying to ascertain when an appointment had been made, the receptionist notified me that 0 appointments had been made for myself. After expressing concern at not having an appointment and my ever declining mental health, I profusely requested a consultation with one of the lead Psychologist/Psychiatrists, to which I was told I wouldn't be able to make an appointment, and the best they could do was to offer me another phone call, yet again, from the Duty Team. After lengthy discussion, the receptionist, after threat of managerial discussion on the 3rd phone call, notified me that she'd then made a request to speak to a Medic as well as the Duty Team, but still hadn't put in any request to speak to the only person I'd been asking to speak to, and then hung up the phone on a clearly still very distressed patient. I found it outrageous that the lack of professionalism in a mental health establishment is this blatant, and that the incompetence of the staff are not going unnoticed by patients, either.
