  1. Review titled Register elsewhere

This practice is terrible, you cannot get an appointment either on the day or in advance. They release appointments daily and see anyone who queues up outside first so by the time you have been on hold on the telephone for half an hour there are no appointments left. To make matters worse you cannot make an advance appointment either. They are not appreciating the fact that not everyone can rock up at 7:30am and queue for an hour. This is a very large surgery with lots of consulting rooms so I do not understand why there never appears to be many doctors on duty and therefore no appointments, it is such a waste of space. If you do manage, by some miracle, to make an advanced appointment it is a telephone only appointment with no specific time given, so you have to be sat by your phone all day long, and if you miss the call you have lost the appointment you have waited four weeks to get. Somebody needs to sort it out and make it a useful practice as it is currently just a drain on the NHS.

Received a text to book in to see the nurse, got given middle of May, asked about previous blood test results from previous visits to a doctor, receptionist found the letter dated January, when I asked why hadn't been informed of the results, she cancelled my nurse appointment and refused to help, just because I queried why the previous results hadn't been past on ,I'll be visiting the surgery on Thursday in person to give them a piece of my mind ,complete waste of time, receptionist play god, disgusting place and will be registering with another practice

  3. Review titled Rude and unwelcoming

Don’t waste your time, all reviews are accurate. Poor service, rude staff, very obvious they don’t want to help or even be nice!! Obviously that they don’t want to be there or even be courteous. Fully appreciate how difficult it is for all NHS staff but don’t still continue doing a job that deserves the most basic of manners - especially when the caller is being calm and polite! Can’t comment on doctor’s or nurses as never met or spoken with them to date.

  4. Review titled Terrible Practice, Reception so rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

I'm currently under treatment for a condition with my consultant working out of QMC. I have experienced complications from my medication so was told to stop treatment and seek urgent bloods in preparation for a call in 7 days. I had a blood appointment booked for the Friday with my call on Tuesday. I received a text at 1230pm on Thursday to say my appointment was cancelled and to ring the surgery. I rang the surgery and told the nurse is off sick with Covid. I asked to have another appointment but told there wasn't anything until August. I asked why I wasn't told earlier, as the nurse had been off for 2 days already and was told they only found out that morning she wouldn't be in. The reception staff were so rude, and have no empathy. I'm extremely sick and their attitude and lack of care was just disgusting. I hope they never have the experience the I'll health that I have and get treated the way that I have been. Shame on you Balderton Surgery

  5. Review titled Shocking service shocking care ridiculous surgery practices

Rated 1 star out of 5

Long gone are the days where you could just walk in to your surgery and book an appointment to see your local GP PLEASE BRING IT BACK Wanted to see the doctor baring in mind that I very rarely go last busy 3 years ago anyway after 1 hr and 45 mins on hold managed to speak to a receptionist where I asked if I could make a appointment to see the doctor when she responded we don’t do appointments anymore the doctor will ring you and if he thinks it’s necessary he will tell you you can. Have an appointment… So I explained my symptoms and asked if the doctor could ring me , the receptionist then informed me that the earliest the doctor could ring is in 3 weeks time. I responded surely you are joking which she said no, however she did say that if was anything urgent you could go to the urgent care centre (AKA NEWARK HOSPITAL) and be seen there. The practice is severely poorly managed the reviews are absolutely shocking, you have a perfectly adequate surgery that is being run to the ground, please I urge you the people managing this surgery need to be held accountable for the current running of this surgery, red flags and sirens should be prompting you to fix this mess and make this surgery works again to a good standard and if you can’t then I will as a business manager come in and sort the chaff from the wheat if you are struggling for a competent manager
