I was having my coil changed for the 3rd time so have prior experience of what to expect. I had to wait for an extended period of time to get an appointment then it got cancelled on the day. They made a new appointment for two weeks later. On the day of my appointment they told me they would be using a different coil, this was not mentioned before hand. The experience was very upsetting. They left me without a coil and said I had to wait another month for another appointment. This was extremely different from my experience in the Newcastle clinic.

As a younger patient i’ve experienced the nurses be rude to me when i’ve tried to make appointments for contraception. I rang a few weeks before my contraception ran out and was told to ring back the following week as there were no appointments available for the week. I rang back the following week and spoke to a nurse who was very rude in telling me that i have left it too tight and should have rang earlier even though i explained i was told to ring back. The clinic as a whole is unorganised and unprofessional, you can’t even get through on the phone to them as they never open the phone line on time.
