I visited Crawley Urgent Treatment Centre on Sunday morning with a knee injury and received excellent care from all.There was a friendly efficient atmosphere in the department, and I would like to thank the Security staff, Receptionist, Radiographer and of course the Senior Sister for their care and professionalism.

This Dept is not listed in this website's introduction. Foot surgery on 10th November, very pleased with the result, however: the first followup consultation was 24 Nov 2023, also very good, and conclusion was for another X ray at second consultation to be arranged in 4 to 6 weeks time. This was subsequently scheduled for 8th Jan 2024 (at East Surrey as requested by me) This was cancelled by the hospital and rescheduled for 16th Feb at Crawley This was cancelled by the hospital and rescheduled for 23rd Feb at Crawley This has now been cancelled by the hospital and rescheduled for 5th April 2024 at Crawley So it seems to me that this 2nd consultation is not considered to be that important. I cannot attend on 5th April so maybe it will need to be rescheduled. Or maybe I will just give up on the NHS and carry on without their assistance?

Over the years I have had many a trip to the walk in centre in Crawley with the wait times averaging between 2-4 hours to be seen. I appreciate that the walk in centre is just that and cannot be managed and staffed to historical footfall, but I feel that something needs to be done. I think it is ridiculous that the walk in centre caters for such a vast area. I believe the system is stretched to capacity and there is no give. Most cases are where the patients are unable to get doctors appointments so therefore end up in the walk in centre when really a simple trip to the GP would suffice. As I am sat here now writing this, I have yet to be seen by a nurse for triage and I am 2.5 hours in. I am one such patient who I believe if there were more doctor’s appointments were available I wouldn’t be clogging up an already bursting system.

I had a bone densitometry appointment on 10th May and was very impressed with how efficient everything was. I was seen on time and welcomed by a friendly Physiotherapist. She was professional, informative and caring and answered all my questions thoroughly. With all NHS workers under such pressure, I was grateful to be treated with such care. Thank you.

Visit with my mother with heartbeat issues on Saturday evening. It was busy and it took a lot of waiting , but both the nurse and doctor were superb, caring and helpful. and the doctor was so helpful in explaining everything, linking back to previous notes and setting out what to do next and if it should happen again. Went away very reassured and grateful. Thank you to our wonderful NHS. It’s just a shame that there couldn’t have been more staff on duty to save everyone having to wait so long.

My daughter had day surgery to remove her metal work from her humerus. The anaesthetists were exceptional and the care given all round.the environment was very positive and everyone we spoke to was extremely professional. Thank you all so much.

Review titled Staff at the core of the NHS

Although the hospital looks very dated and seems like it has seen better times once you are in the patient area all looks fine and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful, they make you feel very comfortable. The process was smooth. Nothing bad to say. Thanks nhs and specially to the staff, they are the core of all the NHS.

I had day surgery here last week. I was so impressed with every aspect right from arrival to the nursing staff, anaesthetic and operating team. Staff couldn't have been friendlier, everyone seemed competent and knowledgeable and so cheerful. Plenty of question and answer time was given. Hospital was clean. Very impressed.

Review titled Trip to emergency treatment centre with my son.

I had to attend Crawley Hospital urgent treatment centre with my 8 year old Son due to him somehow cutting his hand open. My son is autistic and non verbal so going places like hospitals can be quite challenging and overwhelming for him and myself, knowing a visit may not go as easy for him. I am absolutely amazed and so very grateful for the staff who saw my son straight away. They were very understanding of his needs and so cautious of how they spoke to him. We arrived to be checked in and seen straight away by a nurse and took to a private quite room to make sure he didn’t panic and was as calm and relaxed as possible. We was seen by a nurse to glue his hand back together within 10 minutes of arriving and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone involved . My son was so calm and relaxed when being seen which is more than I could have asked for. All aftercare was given and even explained to my son who may not of understood but he was treated with the upmost respect. Thank you Crawley Hospital Urgent Care Centre very much.

I attended the urgent treatment centre with my elderly Mother on 25/9 after she fell in the garden and the care was excellent. All of the staff were exceptional Thank you
