  1. Review titled Fantastic with children.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My daughter who is 12 has been having issues for a long time now, we did what the school asked and took her to her GP today, her GP since being a child is absolutely fantastic with children & my daughter is mute with strangers she spoke little but I couldn't thank him enough!

The receptionist I’m really sorry I didn’t catch her name was so amazing, full on panic attack she got me calmed down and got me into a lovely doctor who helped and listened and just made me feel ok with how I was feeling and that we can get better, just made the experience so much easier

So my daughter has a wikalo that's gone bad as she's not let me touch. She needs antibiotics so I want to the doctors to make her an appointment with a nurse or doctor to be told to take her to a&e like I still can't get my head round it the hospitals are under sooo much pressure yet your sending a her with a poorly finger? My mind boggles tbh surely a gp or community nurse is first port of call?? Or am I just over reacting?

  4. Review titled Dangerously incompetent!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 October 2023

Unfortunately after 22 years of being a patient of this surgery I am now leaving, the decline in patient care is absolutely staggering. Unfortunately I have several long term health issues that at times are very difficult to manage, trying to get an appointment is nigh on impossible, I have been left with no medication for days and had to contact the hospital who were appalled at the lack of care. Receptionists need more training because it appears that they cannot relay information correctly, often missing crucial details. The final nail in the coffin was being told that I do not fit the criteria for a home visit, unbelievable really when I am registered as disabled, having several health conditions that make it extremely difficult to actually leave the house, even hospital nurses visit me at home! It is very frustrating that they have a medical centre that is unable to provide the services that are necessary to support patients like me.

  5. Review titled Nothing but useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

Trying to get in for an appointment - and the receptionist couldn't help advising to call the hospital - no wonder the Hospitals are as stretched as they are! When the first point of call 'should' be the local GP's but yet get turned away. Asking for an appointment for vaccinations and they couldn't even tell me when the next appointment and was to ring the town hall. When did they even become a GP? Plan your illnesses about 6 months in advance and hope for the best because this place is nothing but useless.

  6. Review titled Utter waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 August 2023

I have recently had a hip replacement and am currently waiting for the other one done as urgent. I put my prescription in for painkillers by email and was then sent a text 2 days later saying I needed a review. I rang the GP surgery and was told I couldn’t have an appointment until November and they wouldn’t prescribe my painkillers until I had seen the Dr. To just completely decide that you can no longer have the medication and then have to wait months to get a review appointment is an absolute joke. I am in constant pain with my hip and they just stopped my painkillers. I could understand if I had missed various review appointments, but to just stop it is unforgivable and then make me wait months. Now decided to change practices to one that actually cares about their patients.

  8. Review titled Teamwork

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Graeme - Posted on 24 May 2023

Received first rate support from two nurses to administer an overdue ongoing treatment when appointments were scarce and delays would have impacted severely on condition. Cannot express enough gratitude for this when I was at fault for mixing up appointments. The working relationship between these two nurses was of the highest standard and primarily driven by patient care. This was a refreshing experience.

I was taking Medication which made my daily life quite uncomfortable after speaking with the diabetic nurse for a few minutes she listened to me and agreed to change my meds. So far they are working well which has made my daily life a lot easier and more comfortable.
