I have recently used the new online messaging service for the first time and found it easy to use and time saving. I have also noticed a recent review critical of the service, claiming that 'older people' cannot use it and have to revert to lengthy waits on the phone. I think that at 76 I can be seen to be an older person and object to being told what I can and cannot do. I am well aware that many people do not have access to computers, and would hope that using the phone to contact the Practice would become easier as more patients use the online service.

On Tuesday I used the new system for the first time and my experience was excellent. I received a phone call within 2 hours and an appointment with a doctor the same day. I was able to start medication immediately. I would like to thank the team and the doctor for everything

The new online service is not suitable for the older generation.you have to wait so long for someone to answer the phone (thats if you don’t get cut off first).then when you do get an appointment and its not suitable for you and it aks you to call them you can’t get through.

A visit today for bloods with the nurse was brilliant, she was so easy to talk to, made you feel like you was being listened to, a pleasure to meet a nice friendly person 😊

I found that from the off the Dr was not really interested in why I went to visit that day, he appeared to be only interested in how much I weighed and what exercise I did, I found this to be very unprofessional and uncomfortable, particularly as he obviously hadn't read my history and the small amount of weight I had gained was started and partly to blame through taking steroids for a long period of time, to which I am still being treated and trying to find solution and right medication for my illness. Hopefully I will never have to encounter this Dr again and can ask to see someone else instead.

I was overwhelmed by the excellent care and attention I was given by the GP I saw yesterday. Every doctor I have seen at this surgery has been exemplary in their professionalism and diagnostic skills, and their tremendous empathy. The receptionists and nurses are great, too. I highly recommend this practice.
