I managed to get an appointment after trying on the telephone for over an hour. On the day of the appointment I received a text to say it had been cancelled, now I do understand that these things happen but my major complaint is that I have to now spend my morning trying to ring them back, My appointment was regarding my anxiety and now having to try to get through again fills me with dread, GP’s are suppose to make you better not worse. Practice Manager please note - the least you can do is ring all cancelled appointments to rearrange, not us having to try to get through that Again It’s simple customer service

Thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. You are quite correct that ideally we should try and phone all cancellations but if it is very short notice i.e. the same morning as the appointment we text so that the early appointments are not inconvenienced by coming to the surgery. I have been a patient at Cornerstone for 10+ years, after the merge with the audenshaw branch it has gone even more downhill. Waiting times have always been bad having to wait 3/4 weeks to speak to a doctor on the phone, with the GP then rushing you off the phone as quickly as possible. I had developed a condition and it took several attempts of getting fobbed off by the practitioners with medication, instead of assessing the root cause with a simple 30 minute test that diagnosed the issue instantly after months of trying. If it was something more serious I would seriously doubt their ability to identify the issue promptly or even offer the chance to triage the issue within a time frame of less than a few weeks. The only good thing about the practice is the reception staff are lovely, contrary to what most reviews say online they are always helpful and you can tell they are doing the best they can with the state of the health service and the insufficient capabilities of this practice in general. My advice, search for a different GP practice as they are somehow taking on more patients, adding to the existing workload, when the service they offer currently at the minute is massively inadequate.

I have high cholesterol and fatty liver disease and I have been waiting for more than four years for appointment and blood test. I am working full-time and one I am trying to call just waste my time. The last Blood test was before three years before I had moved hear. I will leave this GP.

I attended today for a cortisone injection to my knee. The doctor was very professional and friendly and made me feel at ease. The procedure was completed in a timely manner with minimal discomfort and I am very happy with the care I have received at all times with this surgery. Thank you.

Myself and my family have been attending this practice for many years and find the doctors, nurses and any other staff we have encountered to be extremely approachable and understanding. We have a Doctor that we see regularly at the practice whom we feel really listens and actually cares a great deal. He always goes above and beyond our expectations in a health care professional. I have never write a review before but must want to do it for Cornerstone. This is the best practice i would say. The staff and doctors are very helpfull. Whenever i had to visit the practice I have always get a good treatment for my problem. I would recommend it to everyone!

This practice is outstanding! The staff at reception answer to your questions and help you and all the doctors are very helpfull. Whenever i went there, I always got something good for my problem. I always recommend this practice to all my friends. Great practice!!

Spoke to doctor yesterday she told me to phone at 8 as she wanted to see me face to face as I am not good at all I phoned for 2 hours someone rude woman eventually answered to be told 9th of January the next appointment she was very rude saying the doctor told you to ring at 8 not 10 I told her I couldn’t get through she said yh well we’re busy (rude) why are you expecting new patients when you can’t see the ones you have. I will go a&e and never use this doctors again.
