    I contacted the GP at 8 am to get an appointment for my 3 year old with high fever for 5 days. They mentioned that GP will contact you before 5 GP did not contact . I rang at 5 pm then said- your given phone number is wrong. Then again tried next day. Samething happened. Never ring me on that day. Totally disappointed

  2. Review titled Not taking bloods at the 'walk in' clinic

    I have been asked to have my bloods taken regularly and called in at Barabara Castle Health centre at 16.40 to be told they are no longer taking bloods! I have started work early (in Preston)in order to get here in plenty of time. My only choice now is to not have my bloods taken.

    The appalling service you are subjected to at the health centre by the receptionist is shocking. Due to the pandemic, patients are encouraged to call rather than just arrive at the branch, however your booking phone service doesn't allow for this to happen without lengthy delays. I can be calling for up to 45 minutes only to finally reach somebody to be told there are no more available appointments. After several unsuccessful attempts, I attended the branch and after speaking with the receptionist, he informed me that when calling, there are only hold positions for the first 9 people. Following this, the phone line cuts off! Any receptionist is the face of a company, but if I am fortunate enough to be connected, the sound of the receptionist's voice causes me to panic as this particular individual is so rude and aggressive in their manner. This is extended to face to face interactions. They are simply disrespectful and lack people skills. Furthermore, there appears to be so many staff absences at your practice. I attended last week and yesterday where the nurse wasn't available due to sickness and the GP hadn't arrived yet! I just think this is exceptionally poor and would like to know what long term plan exists to rectify this. I shouldn't be subjected to aggression when I am attending a health practice.

  4. Review titled Car parking beware

    I went for a eye appointment and parked in the carpark underneath Barbara castle health center, I put my registration in the machine and it came back saying no fee payable. I was 31 minutes and have now received a parking fine. If the machine had said there was a fee to pay when I put my registration in I would have paid. Beware as there is something clearly wrong, not impressed at all.
