    I had a telephone appointment with one of the doctors.She was very thorough, listened and gave me good advice. She arranged necessary tests I needed and have since done and returned. She acted swiftly and efficiently. I appreciate her help which has put my mind atpeace. Thankyou.

    All tests are followed u & acted ion quickly. Great helpful staff , Doctors & Nurses. Have chosen this practice after disappointing service prior to this. I was with them years ago

    I needed to see a doctor urgently, and after describing my condition to reception staff, I was able to get a same day appointment. The doctor listened carefully to me and understood my issues. He had a thorough conversation with me, prescribed medication, and arranged follow-up. I felt that someone really cared about me and this is my overall impression of the Practice at St Mary’s. Thank you.

    Been having problems and had a scan 7 weeks prior on NHS and still no results received, Dr knew where to go on hospital system and found them, which has now discounted many possible causes. Still some way to go but empathy towards the situation has helped. Thank you

    When reading about the problems some people experience with their GP practices I immediately thought “we’ll, ours isn’t like that!” If you need to see a doctor then you will be seen very quickly. The triage service quickly sends you in the right direction and whenever you ring the service is friendly and helpful. It is not unusual for the Senior Partner to ring you for fairly routine matters. Very hand on!! Thank you Penwortham St Mary’s.

    Upon the recent deterioration in the health of an elderly relative, the practice have leapt into action and helped us enormously by arranging samples, tests, prescriptions, home visits, district nursed and a whole "MOT" to quickly identify and treat issues. The staff and Doctors have been truly wonderful and truly caring. Thanks to all of you.

    For the last two years I have been having various health problems, and I can only say the Doctors have been so helpful and i have felt like they cared and I was not just ‘another old lady’ well done St Mary’s Surgery. We are getting there!

    I had a day surgery last Monday and suspected early warning signs of possible infection in the wound , I have previously had an infected wound and naturally didn’t want another. I was allocated an emergency appointment and the doctor checked the wound and ox’s antibiotics until my consultant can review me on Tuesday of next week . I am so grateful for this intervention,well done St Mary s

    The quality of care from the professionals is exceptional, however the standard of reception staff is abysmal. No polite 'hello', rarely a smile and if one is dealing with the person at the back of the reception area one has to almost shout as she refuses to leave her seat. It's as though patients are an irritant. Also, chewing gum is not a good look and indicates a complete lack of professionalism.

    The Doctors in this practice are always polite and happy to help, however some of the reception staff are not polite and promise they will help and sort out requests but never do it. My recent experience was again a very negative one, it seems the reception promise to do things but just don't bother to do what they said they would. Either that or who they pass it on to - does not do their job, I cannot be sure which. I do not normally write this kind of negative response, much prefer to write positive things, but sometimes it has to be said in order to hopefully make some change.
