These doctors and nurses in particular were amazing. I’m a cancer patient and they couldn’t have done enough for me. I am indebted to their care.

We just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ for the supportive service my mum received when having a home visit from Oxenhope Pharmacy for a covid jab. The nurse was so kind and put my mum at ease straight away, making her feel relaxed, comfortable and reassured, even the jab was painless! Thank you so much for being so understanding and helping her to stay calm, you made it all so easy.

Went to pick up a new registration form for my father-in-law who will shortly be moving to Sawtry. Hugely friendly and helpful lady on the reception desk. If this is indicative of the service my father-in-law can expect once he moves, he’s very lucky indeed. Keep it up, Wellside!

I went to the surgery on behalf of my father-in-law to pick up registration forms. What a lovely, friendly and cheery welcome and advice I received from the lady on reception at Wellside Surgery. If this is indicative of the service my father-in-law will receive once he moves to Sawtry, I’m hugely relieved and thankful.

My husband has recently been very ill following a urology procedure at a local hospital which resulted in him being discharged with an infection which occured within 3 days. It was quickly established the infection required early intervention with anti biotics. Regrettably the infecton could not be easily halted and in the event he was given 4 different prescritons over a period 15.01.2023 to 1.02.23 without any improvement leaving him bed-bound. The GP service, the 111 access facilty and finally a home visit by our GP was necessary. This proved instrumental in ensuring he had a new anti-biotic, provided with a District Nurse to take bloods and also a physio arranged to visit him at home to assist in getting him back on his feet again. Without the plan put in place we would have struggled to get my husband mobile again after so many dark days spent in bed and in pain without any improvement no matter the range of anti biotics provided. Within 2 days our GP arranged an appointent for a full body check at the RBH in an effort to establish exactly what was causing his disability with a care package put together including home care and hospital transport if required to assist with his recovery. A further anti biotic was offered and again updated followed by a marked improvement to his health. The very necessary blood tests and X-rays at the RBH have since been carried out with great success leaving only his kidney function to be managed. Without the swift intervention of our saintly GP it woud have been an uphill task to establish the extent of his infection and the causes thereof plus action to improve his health outcome. We are incredibly impressed with the speed of his recovery since the intervention by Wargrave Surgery and their excellent staff from GP to the reception staff and also the district nursing and physio provision offered as required. Without this package and the care and concern shown by our dedicated GP we would have struggled to manage his almost full recovery with the kidney function being appropriately managed as required going forward. We both owe so much to this excellent surgery without their help we may well still be facing a very uncertain future. The sun is shining at last. Thank you to all involved in his care. The staff are helpful and attend your call as soon as possible. The Doctors have been amazing when my daughter has needed to be seen or checked. The nurse is probably the reason why I am the happiest with the practice, she has seen me for smears, health checks and asthma reviews, and always made me feel calm, reassured, and comfortable. I wouldn't want anyone else to apply injections to my little one, as she has the most soft hand for it, and makes it quick and almost painless. She is also great at explaining the procedures right before being done, such as: smears, or vaccines, in the case of my daughter. Well done to her and to all the staff who make this a great practice!

Absolutely amazing doctor, I went to visit my doctor for various reasons, he was very caring and listened to me. I am so pleased The girls at the reception always greet you with a smile and are very welcoming. I strongly recommend this doctor.

Just wanted to comment on the GPs I have seen recently, Reception staff and Nurses. They have been very helpful, professional, polite and listened which is much appreciated. I would recommend this GP Practice. Thank you again.

I recently underwent neck and chest surgery, to fix blocked nerves at Southmead Hospital, in Bristol. During my stay there, the care I was provided with was first class. Everyone from the nurses, to the doctors as well as the cooks and cleaners were very pleasant, as well as caring and always providing me with energy when I was feeling down in the dumps. I did experience a couple of hard nights sleep due to the patients near me, but the nurses managed to move me to an individual ward with a great view. They did this without any issue and although I often feel uncomfortable away from home for a long time, being moved rooms improved my mood tenfold. This really helped transform my stay and made me feel a lot better. All the staff were polite and always offered to help, whenever I required it. Before and after being moved rooms. The food menu didn't have the most options, but the food itself was good. I stayed at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and I would just like to leave a personal thank you to all the staff, who took care of me during my 5 day stay. And for all the flack the NHS recieve, they deserve an enormous amount of credit, for their caring nature, their professionalism with dealing with me and other patients. I aslo their communication was very helpful, as it kept me in the loop when I was asking questions, regarding my condition and my medication. I would assure anyone who is due to stay at Southmead Hospital, that they are in great hands. Many thanks Tom Woodley-Marshall

Review titled Very caring nurse

Today I went to the Earls Court Health and Wellbeing Centre for a cervical screening with a nurse. Needless to say this is not an exam you look forward to, but on top of that I was feeling very anxious and overwhelmed for other reasons. The nurse showed me so much compassion, took the time to calm me down, and give me hug. Not only she made this exam painless but her kindness saved my day and took me out of a very difficult state.
