  1. Review titled Excellent service by nursing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Mitchell - Posted on 11 April 2024

I have no problems with the nursing staff who perform a sterling job. However, on completion of my treatment on Wednesday 10 April 2024, I was informed that I would need to be seen in clinic every two days and that Administration would call with an appointment for Friday 12 April. Having waited until pm on the Thursday 11 April, I telephoned the lower limb service on 3 occasions and left two messages but have not even received an acknowledgement or the offer of an appointment. Bearing in mind that I am 80 years old, in bad health and just coming out of hospital after 8 days feel this is unaceptable. Look forward to hearing from you as a matter of urgency.

  2. Review titled Compassionate care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was an in-patient on Bridford ward for almost 6 weeks. The entire time I was treated with compassion, kindness and the best possible care. The ward was well-staffed, clean and welcoming. The staff were professional and easy to talk to. I was involved in decisions surrounding my treatment, care planning and discharge. I always felt respected and listened to.

  3. Review titled No support

Rated 1 star out of 5

my sister in law has been struggling with her mental help for most of her life. Lately she has been struggling to the point she doesn’t want to be here. She has also been kicked off the mental health list. The plymouth crisis line has been shocking and no help. She has been told that she needs to work through her anger and mental health by talking to someone. This is something my mother in law has said does not work. She has a number of other medical issues and is also autistic. I called up on behalf of my mother in law, who can no longer cope but has to, for my sister in laws sake and was told that they needed to speak to my sister in law. I informed them a number of times she will not speak to anyone. They then told me they can’t do anything without talking to her, which is a lie as they have spoken to only my mother in law in the past. I was then told to either phone the police or take her to a&e. the last time my mother in law tried to take her, she grabbed hold of the wheel and tried to crash the car. The mental health system is broken, I would not recommend calling plymouth crisis line as they won’t help in a crisis..

  4. Review titled Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I cannot thank the mental health services at livewell enough especially the Drs. I have unfortunately been in poor health and have been fortunate enough to receive fantastic care and support from this department for the last six months. They have done more for me than any other medical practice not just dealing with my mental health but also my physical health
