No interest in helping my daughter who is 17 because they state she's son to be an adult so she'll fall under adult mental health services rather than children's. Had to beg for her to be put into waiting list. She suffering from suicidal ideation and experiencing psychosis. No, I do not recommend this service. Even trying to get help privately is impossible. Where do I turn? Who will help? She is gradually starving herself. After initial assessment with camhs last year, we received a letter which had false information about our situation, the mental health nurse clearly didn't even listen to the facts. I am totally at a loss in how to help my child. What has happened to our NHS? Where is the care and support? What happened to early intervention in psychosis? Nobody cares. They don't care about children crippled with the effects of any form of mental illness. We are left fighting from every corner for our children, ignored and expected to cope with the enormity of undiagnosed conditions and the constant, neverending, agonising and exhausting struggle that comes with this.
