A big thanks to the staff member who would not let my autistic son in on Monday night to try and get warm after breaking down on his journey home a long, long way from home. He only had to wait almost 6 hours in the cold until 3am before the rac arrived. So, once again a massive thanks for the kindness and compassion you showed, you did our nhs proud!

  2. Review titled Caring Staff

My Mum, 97, went in from hospital following a fall where she fractured her shoulder. The Okeover Ward was simply excellent. It was clean, with new equipment and best of all excellent staff. The lady who brought the meals and drinks made sure my Mum who was very deaf had heard her. The nurses and assistants cared, were able to care for and not just medicate patients. You ring and someone picks up the phone they know how the patients are and what is happening to them. That says it all. Brilliant.

I went for a blood test this morning and I was very impressed by the phlebotomist. I don’t have easy veins but the whole experience was very efficient, friendly but professional and my veins posed no problem for this individual. Thank you.
