Spoke to a nurse tonight regarding my problem after I had spoke to my GP who said on the call back from 111 "What do you expect me to do?" Wow! What a shocking response, the NHS needs some new nurses!

Had an assessment on 15th Jan 2024 and they said counselling will take 1 year (they are still getting people from March 2023). I was struggling on Friday so I called them and they said "You can only talk to a therapist once, after you have called for a support session you will have to wait for you counselling what will take a year. I went to the doctors and I got medicated as I can't wait a year for a service, who will only give you 12 sessions then if it doesn't work you go back on the extremely long waiting list.

Referred by gp last summer. I had two consecutive assessments by two different workers. Stated o would receive step 3.5 for trauma I went into mental health crisis and referred to secondary care wanted 2 and half months for them to call me referred me back to impact further treatment episode but no actual treatment just two more Telephone e assessment again. First o e said they would offer me therapy then another week later saying g they wouldn't as I had been drinking alcohol This service has Complete lack of understanding of the complexity of mental health there is no scope here for those who use drink or substance ces to relieve distress there is no willingness to I derstand that addictions are mental health problems more often than not caused by underlying trauma No I would not recommend this service

No help from this service. fobbed off put off and absolutely of no value. They do not provide counciling or help of any kind. Apparently they are going to call to see if I'm still having problems in a month.like they have for the last three then nothing happens. What's the point. Just to tick a box and make it look like they are "doing something".

I could go on for days with this but I'll only trigger myself. Impact on Teesside in my opinion from my own experiences is doing more harm than good. Recently I suffered a terrifying mental breakdown which was brought on from the discover of my partners cancer. I lost myself and ended up in Roseberry park. Upon my exit I was picked up by foxruah which had me heading in the right direction and was then handed over to impact. They were due to call and did not from this I was removed from treatment. I was alone no treatment no support and no diagnosis. This was the 4th time impact had shunned me. I was suffering from anxiety, depression, adhd and negative and suicidal thoughts and they failed in their duty. Once your out you have to self refer and rejoin the waiting list. A waiting list I've been on many times and not received any help. Surely the appearance multiple times of a referal should trigger something to aid support. One time they offered me online group support but all at the times i worked so again I was removed. I have spoken to many people who have been through the same and I now have my own group I support who have been through the same. Whilst impact carry on like this men nad women will continue to fall through the cracks and continue to end their lives. I have talked people away from ending their lives but their should be a service that does this.
