  1. Review titled The Drs are great, receptionists are rude and nasty

    I've been with this surgery since birth. They've always been great, until recently. The Drs tell me to go back and see them straight away if things get worse, certainly symptoms appear, etc. So I fill in the online request and reception refuse to let me see the Dr, despite the Dr telling me that I need to see them. I was recently told by reception that there is nothing they can do to help my chronic health condition and I need to learn to live with it. This is not what the Drs have told me. They have told me that they need to carry out further tests if the primary ones show nothing. The Drs themselves are great, if you can manage to see one. They've moved heaven and earth to get my chronic health conditions diagnosed after years of inconclusive tests. Now reception tell me I need to speak to a mental health practitioner before I can have the chronic health review a letter from the surgery told me I need. If the practitioner deems it appropriate then they will refer me to my own Dr. If not then I'm not allowed to see them. Receptionists are speaking to me, and other patients there that I know, as if we are less than human. They get pretty nasty, refuse us help, and have brought me to tears on multiple occasions now. They have zero compassion for patients, and they treat those of us with disabilities that require regular appointments as pests that they don't want to deal with. After 36 years with this surgery I guess it is time to move on to somewhere else. Again, the Drs are absolutely fantastic. Helpful, understanding, compassionate, go out of their way to get you the help that you need. Sadly the gatekeepers won't let you past the gate.

Our staff are working tirelessly to provide the best care possible. The majority of our patients are very happy with the services they receive as it shows in our patient satisfaction surveys and Friends and Family feedback. We are sorry that on this occasion, you thought, the system didn’t work for you.     Fortunately I don't have to use my GP very often, but I've always had friendly and efficient service from all the staff at the Villa Medical Centre. I had a worrying chest infection recently, and was seen very quickly and given treatment and reassurance. Thank you and well done.

    After being in alot of pain for several years with isolated issues I decided to seek help from my GP who told me that I needed to see the Practice Physio 1st... I was happy to do this as in the past I've always been happy with the service I have received. After waiting 10days to see the practice physio I was told to exercise more but not over do it, diet and look at some videos on You Tube to help me with my issues.. I left absolutely disgusted and no better off... No pain relief was offered,xrays or bloods test even though that is what I had asked for in my e-consult... I am now waiting to hear from GP regarding my visit...

    This practice has been absolutely fantastic in providing all the medical care that I have needed, over the tough times of the coronavirus pandemic and more recently. I have always been able to make contact with the practice when needed, via econsult or telephone and on all occasions a face to face consultation has been offered where appropriate to my need.The staff,without exception, have treated me with care and compassion. I could not ask for more from this practice and consider it to be a beacon of success.

    The 'Service' and execution/delivery/procedure from Administrator and Nurse was exemplary. This the only feedback completed by myself, regarding a medical practice, ever. Other than face to face . Well done and thank you all.
