  1. Review titled Terrible service for patients and doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

Getting an appointment is almost impossible , we now choose to wait on the step at 7.30 in the morning since they did not send a urine sample but tested in house and missed stage three cancer. They seem to have one doctor on at a time and they are worked to death and demoralised but im sure the partners are doing well . I have cellulitis in my foot with a venous insufficiency a dangerous combination yet i have no appropriate painkillers, as the over worked doctor forgot to print it out, he did print the other three he gave me. Its just the worst practice that now is almost impossible to use. No usable phone access, the reception staff are becoming acclimatised to such a bad service that they now take any comment as an affront . Plenty of staff in the background beavering away developing income for the surgery but just the one doctor ay a time for 1000s of patients. It seems actual general practice has been put on the back burner. I work with very able special needs and every year the surgery sends out a nurse to review them , yes a nurse comes to the house, when do you or your loved ones get that kind of service , never now days . This happens because this creates extra income for the surgery and that seems to be very relevant at crossways nowadays.... The shareholders should be ashamed , they have taken away a vital service and I am sure patients are suffering . I know i am, and all for Mammon

  2. Review titled Appalling

Rated 1 star out of 5

Started ringing at 8am. 45 minutes later phone was answered only to be told "no appointments". No surprise there. Was advised to go on E consults. Again no available appointments. This practice used to be really good. However since Pc24 took over it has gone downhill dramatically. They really need to look into the running of this practice. Will have to look at changing doctors.

  3. Review titled Death of what was once a great service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have had several unrelated issues and tests done, not once has anyone advised me of the results. After many calls, and not being able to get through I gave up with the phone and went to the surgery. The receptionist gave me the results (obviously I Had Questions for the GP) no appointment was offered and I had to take pot luck ringing each day at 8pm, only to be given a telephone appointment with a nurse practitioner nearly two weeks later. Fed up with it all. I am sure the one and only receptionist manning the phone and desk is too!!!! Today I have been buttoned once and left holding for 8 minutes before the phone cut off again. Hence the review. Also why are you able to leave a message for the GP on the app when ordering medication to find nothing has answered, the response I was given was "oh we don't look at those messages". ????????? All faith gone. Never mind I'll make another cuppa.

  4. Review titled Awful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was on holiday in the area, and became unwell. This surgery was the nearest, so having no success phoning, my husband took me there. The surgery was empty, and I asked a very bored looking receptionist if I could see a doctor. She didn't know what to do, so had to ring Dorchester to ask advice. The reply was that they couldn't see me. According to NHS guidelines, I should have been seen. I had to go home!

  6. Review titled Poor service, too difficult to get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

Appointments can only be made if you ring the surgery from 08:00 on the day. The phone line will be busy and can take anywhere from 20-60mins to be answered which means that in most cases all appointments will be taken. They do not allow for appointments to be made in the future, even if your doctor has advised that a follow up appointment is required, you can only try entering the queue each morning at 08:00. To compound the situation, there is only one permanent doctor who only works two mornings a week, the other appointments are seen by locums which means you will very rarely see the same doctor twice (if you can get an appointment). Further compounding the situation is that they have folded two practices in to one... Crosby Village Surgery patients must now use Crossways, however they have not provided extra staffing to Crossways (medical or non-medical staff), they run two computer systems (one for each surgery) which means that if one administrator is using the Crosby Village designated computer, you need to wait or more likely will be asked to call back (and re-enter the queue). This practice is not staffed properly and as such is not fit for purpose. I have been trying to get a follow up appointment for our baby with the original doctor that advised we need to have the follow up, for over one month but we cannot get past the 08:00 queueing system, the receptionist even advised me to take the baby to Alder Hay where we will be seen on the day...shocking!!!
