My gratitude for the care, compassion and support for my brother and I to all staff at the Bridge Road. Everyone listened to my concerns and helped get my brother the medical care he needed. Every complex ailment was addressed and referrals made to relevant services when needed. Due to my brothers failing health, I was listened to as my concerns increased. From calls to reception, e consult, visits with practice nurse and GP appointments I was given the attention needed to keep my brother well for longer than was expected with his complex health issues. Safeguarding concerns were addressed and despite my continuous appeals to The Ambulance Service to help admit my brother for the urgent hospital care he needed, the GPs all worked together to get my brother finally into hospital. Although my brother died from his incurable diagnosis in December 2023, without the valuable care he received as a patient of this GP practice and I as his carer and voice, I would have been on my knees struggling to keep him with me for as long as I did. This team have been amazing and dedicated to caring and listening with compassion for my brother and to me. Thank you all so much.

I put in for my rescue pack on Monday 3rd April, today Thursday I phoned my chemist to be told nothing had come through , I rang my doctors about nine , then waited for about 2 hours for call back , to be told was not put through , sorry but who ever was on duty should be held responsible , and be thankful nothing major has occurred , not that I know off any way

Never get an appointment (have been trying for 3 weeks) You can’t make appointments for the future but call at 8am and sit in a ‘lottery’ phone queue where they never call back. If you are unlucky enough to get through to a ‘person’ you are given the worst attitude ever which is dangerous especially when dealing with those suffering from mental Illness. Completely unhelpful surgery. Avoid

Review titled Fantastic, caring Doctors and staff

My mum is 87 years old. She is constantly ill and in and out of hospital. She has various medical needs. She has ony been with Bridge Road for 12 months and the service received from all staff is outstanding. We have never stepped foot inside surgery as mum is mostly bedbound. We have dealt with doctors over phone and in person at her home they are so lovely, listen and talk to you. We have had no problem getting doctor or other medical services out as GP's act urgently, professionally and caringly. When phoning Medical Centre staff are so courteous and helpful, they go out of their way to help. I can't thank all staff here for the help, support and empathy they have shown me and my mum through all the difficult times we have had. A massive thank you to you all, keep up the great work.

Everytime I ring up for an appointment for me and my kids both are under 6, I get told to ring back the next day even though I've been on hold for 2 hours plus. Well today I ring up as I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I've been being sick blood I was crying on the phone to the receptionist and she didn't care! She told me to ring back tomorrow or go to the walking centre as they are extremely busy!! It's a joke what do you have to do to get an appointment with my GP! It's absolutely disgusting. I'm going to make an official complaint about this. Going to move doctors. When you ring your on hold for 2 hours plus to get absolutely nothing!

: I took my elderly relative to see her GP for a consultation. The GP was amazing - she was so caring. She took us step by step through the results and checked we understood at each opportunity, explaining in a way that was easy to understand .She was aware of how difficult a consultation this was for us both,but took the time to listen and hear our concerns, aswell as enquire sensitively about the impact it was having. Most importantly we left feeling confident in the plan outlined and reassured

Every time you try to make an appointment it is excuse after excuse it is virtually impossible to get an appointment I tried today after being told yesterday to call at 8 am for an appointment finally after a few hours got a call back saying no appointments were left and to visit the walk in centre absolutely ridiculous. They may as well close the surgery and put the staff in the walk in centre need looking at urgently

The staff behind reception are exceptional. They genuinely will go beyond necessary to ensure you are okay, and always follow up of other stuff is needed. They genuinely care, and ask about my children even when they aren’t with me. They will go beyond their duties with prescriptions and appointments for everyone. I couldn’t ask for a better surgery. Not to mention the doctors are brilliant.

My GP surgery is awsome. They are always busy but do everything to help you at all times. I know how busy they are and I appreciate everything they do they go beyond just being receptionist or managers. Anything they can do to help is done. It's never a problem and they always always give u an appointment if possible or give u a call from my GP.i would like to give a special thanks to all the receptionist staff for all there help when I am poorly. I know they get verbally abused on the phone but people don't realise if they could give you an appointment they would in a heart beat. You are all amazing and I would like to thank you all again. All reception staff all GPS at Bridge Road medical Centre should be given a medal 🏅 for there hard work help and kindness to all they help. Thank you Sonya Felmingham
