  1. Review titled Make rules up as they go along

Rated 1 star out of 5

Wanted an appt so went in when passing and asked young male on reception for appt the following week and was told had to telephone the morning I wanted the appt at 8am. I asked if that was a new rule as it wasn't the procedure the last time I had an appt. He said it was "always the rule". I suspect I have been a patient there longer than his age. A few weeks later I received a text informing me I needed an annual review and it provided an appt for... yes... the following week. They make it up as they go along. It's also almost impossible to see a GP and if you do get an appt it's with a Nurse.

Just want to say that its impossible to get an appointment, the person who answers the phone is extremely rude. Haven´t seen a doctor since I joined.

3000 characters really isn’t enough to express how poor this surgery is. As the mother to a child with a serious heart condition, the minimum I ask is that the surgery we are with is timely when issuing and approving prescriptions containing vital medications. However for the 5th time since my son was prescribed medication which he needs every mealtime or he cannot feed, I have found myself chasing delayed prescriptions. To date I have privately funded £100+ in extra stock when the surgery have not processed repeat prescription requests, all of which have been put in with at least 5 days notice. Having spoken previously with reception staff I’m aware the surgery run off a 48 hour turn around. The reception staff are often dismissive and lacking in the knowledge to support any complaint or complex query. I have also found them to be extremely unsympathetic and as an NHS worker myself, my ability to show compassion, especially in conflict situations is something I’ve praised for. Moreover, there have been occasions when I’ve been unable to secure a same day appointment for my son, despite his existing health needs and on these occasions have been advised to “just take him to A&E”. To ensure continuity of care for my child and to limit any confusion changing surgeries could cause within the number of services we’re under, I’ve held off taking this step. However the poor care is now so detrimental to my son and his health needs that this now seems the only option. As well as this, I have written to our MP, the CQC and local authority as this the inadequate services the surgery provide are numerous. I highly recommend looking for a different provider if you’re considering going to this surgery.

Your Review: After phoning at 8:00 for a appointment with the doctor I arrived to find I was seeing a nurse again so I cancelled and returned home and decided to complain that I never see a doctor after I ended my call I received a text message telling me I had to find a new surgery as I wasn’t local enough so I’ve lived in the same street for almost 54 years under the same doctors surgery and now I live to far away you couldn’t make it up this doctors is a health risk avoid it at all cost I dread to think what The original doctors would think of a practice a father and son built up from nothing
