  2. Review titled Horrible experience, looking to find another surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2023

I moved back from university last year and the practice had lost all my medical notes so I ended up having to do a Subject Access Request to my old GP to inform my new GP of all the medications I have been on. I requested a repeat prescription and the surgery were not aware of a medication change, though they had stamped and documented a letter of notice as well as uploaded this letter onto my Patient access file. I recently began new a new medication and didn't realise the symptoms I was feeling were side-effects of this new medication. I ended up going to the surgery every couple of days because I was feeling so unwell and nothing was helping. The doctor did not inform me it was due to side effects and kept giving me other medications instead, only to tell me in the end that she didn't know what it was and asked me what it was! It's frustrating having a GP service that doesn't do their due diligence!

  3. Review titled Poor service through out the practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Ant B - Posted on 16 March 2023

This practice provided me a "I dont Care" service. Receptionist's rude. They think they no best. Bombard you with txt messages for online questionnaire's when you should be having 1 to 1 about your illness. Surgery manager shy to speak to you if you want to provide feedback on poor service. Got my repeat prescription wrong and came out with excuses on trying out new medicines without any consultation with me. When i rang to discuss they talk over you and back the clinicians. They should have refunded me as i have had to stop this medication due to other side effects. If only the prescription money came from their account. The whole surgery needs to listen. Look at the number of complaint reviews. Previous staff who built this practice and now retired left this place with very high standards - How we miss their sympathetic and professional understanding for then their patient needs. They need to listen to patient feedback like they use to rather than fob them of the phone as quick as possible. We patients also work and not being able to contact the surgery between 1pm to 2pm is a real disappointment. Sometimes its difficult to call from work due to privacy and being around other people. Hoping things will improve at this place as it seems a lot of investment has been made for patient care.

  4. Review titled Terrible Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice makes things difficult from the minute you make your first phone call; prolonged queuing to get through, impatient, rude receptionists who are often judgemental and bossy, followed by always running late. They have no respect for patients & never apologise for keeping me waiting, often way past my appointment time. When you do get to see the nurse/ doctor, they rush you in & out and do not give chance to ask any questions. When mistakes are made with prescriptions, they blame the pharmacy. No empathy or kindness. Receptionists need a lot of training, especially in courtesy, manners and politeness.

  5. Review titled Above and beyond

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Since having my two daughters (first in 2018 and second earlier this year in Feb 22) I have always been so thoroughly impressed (and grateful!) for the level of care, professionalism and dedication shown by all staff at this practice. The reception staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating, and even the dreaded 8am phone calls for an appointment are never too stressful, the queues are tackled quickly and appointments made available. The nurses and doctors go above and beyond to support us. Whatever our visits are for, we are made to feel listened to and well cared for. I am grateful that my family are cared for under this practice. A huge thanks to all at Warwick Gates Family Health Centre for all your hard work
