I phoned requesting a uti prescription as I had a few weeks ago . I live almost next door to the surgery and was told by receptionist to go to Uttoxeter pharmacy to collect a tester then take it back to Uttoxeter pharmacy and they can prescribe antibiotics. I told her i live just along from the surgery so i dont need to go into Uttoxeter . Uttoxeter is 7 Mile's away from my home , I am feeling lightheaded so prefer not to drive.

Makes me feel better just walking up there! Phoned at 8:30, saw the doctor at 9:30, walked out with medicines by 10.

Always polite reception . If an appointment is necessary receptionist will endeavor to give an appointment either by phone or face to face. Dispensary staff always helpful .

I have lived in the village for 3 years and members of my family and myself have used the practice in that time. The reception, dispensary, GP’s and Nurses are absolutely great. Polite, listen and care. They go above and beyond. The best experience of health care to date for myself and my family.

Having been used to the usual service offered by GP Practices over the years I have become used to a certain level of service. It is good to see that this mediocre service has been surpassed by the Alton Surgery and I remain constantly surprised at the exemplary service I receive. They are always polite and follow up calls to tests or treatment are always made. Long may it continue as an example of what a good GP practice should be.
