  1. Review titled Rude!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Receptionist on Friday 12 April in the afternoon. One of the most rude, ill Informed people I have ever spoken to! Holding Lasting power of attorney on my terminally ill husband on palliative care. I spoke directly to the Gp in the morning, adjusting medication and requesting an appointment with the diabetes team. She rang, refused to speak to me, saying she must speak to my husband… all she wanted to do was book an appointment! She stated lasting power of attorney gives me no rights… that’s exactly what it does. The right to make divisions on behalf of him

  2. Review titled Very understanding practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After struggling for a couple of weeks with having surgery, the practice helped me as best they could with my speech problems currently. I felt like I was listened to and the doctor was extremely understanding in my situation. Going with more than one problem I felt that each problem was solved one by one on its own, nothing was to much trouble even with my bad speech from surgery. Thank you for the support to helping me get better.

I like most people cannot get a appointment either. Not even a phone call. I ring every day to be told no there is no appointments. How am I supposed to get my illness sorted and treated. 10 minutes with a doctor is all I need . Getting a appointment used to be easy. So what as happened. I've been suffering for a while now please sort the appointments out

Dear patient, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel you cannot get an appointment. Your comment was posted during the festive period (Christmas and New Year) and the practice at that time was experiencing a higher volume of calls than normal due to being closed for the bank holidays, the increase in covid and flu type symptoms and worried patients regarding Strep A. We also had low staffing levels due to sickness in relation to covid and flu type symptoms. We did plan ahead for this busy period and arranged for additional locum cover and will continue to do this until the end of March. Our receptionist team are trained to navigate you to the right person within the practice, this may not necessarily be the doctor. It is important that you let them know what the problem is when you contact us. Once again we are sorry to hear that you have difficulties obtaining an appointment and hope that this matter has now been resolved. If not please do not hesitate to contact the practice and ask to speak with the Practice Manager who can look into the matter and assist you further.
