  1. Review titled Worst GP practice in the city

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

It is nearly impossible to even get through to this practice, especially if, like me, you work. Usually, after being told you are caller number 37, you eventually get down to caller number one, after this, the phone simply rings, no answer, no message. I haven't seen a doctor for years, no issue with the nurse, but seeing my GP, would be nice, just occasionally. I am in the process of leaving this practice as there really is an absence of care or even interest in the patients.

Thank you or taking the time to feedback regarding our service, we like to receive all feedback both good and bad to allow us to continually develop and improve the service we provide. We offer a number of options for booking appointments either over the telephone in person or by direct booking online, this allows patients to choose the method that works best for them. We are very disappointed that you are unhappy with the service you have received and would like the opportunity to work with you to put this right. We note that you have not provided any personal details and so we are unable to look into this matter further at this time. 3. Review titled Not very good

I have an implant for last 20 years +.contraceptive implant. It ran out June 2023.yoy have them in for 3 years then change. I also have a b12 deficiency which if un treated can get quite poorly. Needed tht at doing around the same time. Every 3 months unless needed more which sometimes in very low you need more. I'm 47 years old. I don't want no more children I've had 4 im too old now. I'm still waiting for both, even though I'm ringing all the time to get appointments, calling in to the doctors keep getting told no one there to do it. only recently joined this surgery but am looking to find another for my family. My health isn't great. This has effected my mental health quite drastically. To the point I'm under the Sutherland center & other agencys now. So for them reasons and others I haven't mentioned I would not recommend this surgery.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback in regard to our surgery. We are very sorry that you are unhappy with the service provided In regard to Implants - we currently have a 2-3 month wait for this service and patients are usually advised of this on contacting the practice and given details of alternative providers who may be able to offer an earlier appointment, we are very sorry if this did not happen on this occasion. Our nurse has tried to contact you in regard to implants earlier this month but you did not answer, we will ensure that she contacts you again about this. In regard to B12 injections - these are usually given every 12 weeks. I note that you had an appointment booked for your B12 injection but did not attend this appointment. A further appointment was booked which you also failed to attend. I will ensure that a member of our reception team contacts you to book an appointment at a convenient time for you and apologise if there has been any confusion over previous appointments We are always keen to receive feedback from patients directly to allow us to resolve any problems promptly, we are very sorry if you felt that you were unable to do this and would encourage you to raise any concerns with us to allow us the opportunity to resolve any concerns you may have. We strive to provide an outstanding service to all our patients and are very sorry that we have not met your expectations Jenny Woodfint Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Awful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

It's nearly impossible to get an appointment, the hated call at 8am simply doesn't work. After 8am I am usually travelling to work so can't stay on the phone, after this I am at work and can't expect to stay on a personal call at the office. If you're lucky enough to get through, there will be no appointments, unless you are prepared to wait up to 7 weeks!...my daughter has a health concern which is worrying her. We have tried multiple times to get an appointment out of school hours, to no avail, when we did finally get an appointment after calling 111 and being directed to the out of hours doctor, the nurse was quite patronising and sent my daughter off without conducting any examination, as directed by an out of hours GP. My daughter now has to visit A&E as her condition has become a serious concern, which is completely unacceptable. Whilst I understand that everybody is busy, GP's surgeries are there to provide care to all patients at the point of need. This is a terrible practice, which does not provide basic access to health care for it's patients. I would urge anybody who may be considering registering with this practice to go elsewhere.

  6. Review titled NHS free is a joke with this practice.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Typical events last week. 1) need Ed an appointment to explain Hospital review. Was given on for 5 weeks time. 2) Phoned for appointment, after about 15 minutes I was still number 4. Cut off waiting. I phoned 5 minutes later, still number 4 in the queue, put phone down. 3) Phomed back using Receptionist 0 number. Number 3 in queue, this time I wen fairly quick to number 1. Phoned started to ring the extension, this is as far as it got held on for at least 10 with no reply. Then the phone just cut off. I handed the cost of my phone calls to the Doctors for the previous month, it came to £24+, this is the NHS free. Looked at previous months it was roughly the same. As I live on the state pension this is a very expensive deduction most months. My wife is now quite Ill on top of my many medical conditions. I will be trying to get her an appointment first thing tomorrow. Added to trying this I have two hospital appointments late morning and a earring appointment in the afternoon, these were made with the phone being answered almost immediately.
