    Similar to other reviews.....having tried the phone system and not got an appointment.....because you have to call at 0830 and those of us who work for a living find this problematic I did what I was told and went in person to queue. Arrived at 0805 am. 16th in the queue. Seen by receptionist at 0840, 10 mins after they started to be told no appointments today, no appointments left for next Friday!! Told to phone on Monday! Ridiculous. I don't believe all appointments were taken and an unqualified receptionist is making those decisions of who can and who can't have an appointment.....laughable if it wasn't so upsetting when you need to see a doctor. Practice manager.....I have e mailed you so please don't tell me to do that when / if you respond to this. The current system is a shambles. Shame the media can't get involved. Practice manager

    I remember when it was possible to book a GP appointment in advance. Then it was possible to book an appointment on the same day, and finally it is possible to do neither. They ask you to ring at 8:30am, when the daily appointments are 'released', but these are all gone by 9am, but of course everything resets the following day, so you cant roll over an appointment, so its basically a lottery. If you happen to be one of the fortunate few who is able to get through then well done, i congratulate you. The most amusing thing is that the receptionist will ask for details of symptoms before announcing that the practice is 'at capacity'. See you in A&E then? Luckily my son is a Doctor so i could always drive to Newcastle for an appointment. There would certainly be more chance of getting one than at Bridgnorth. Weirdly a friend in Alveley never has any trouble getting an appointment, so, go figure!

    Went to make an appointment yesterday afternoon (12 March, approx 3.15 pm) and the girl on reception was so rude to me telling me my request wasn't urgent and that the form I was requesting wasn't something they did. I'm sorry but she is the receptionist, not the doctor and she knows nothing about my health condition that I am currently going through and currently causing me stress. She told me she wouldn't be booking me an urgent appointment and that I could have a routine one. I didn't realise she was a triage specialist too. This girl is letting down the amazing reception team by being so rude, condescending and patronising, she shouldn't be working on the desk with that attitude and needs some customer service training urgently. That said she is the only bad egg here, the reception team including in particular two who it won't allow me to name here are absolutely brilliant and deserve credit for being exceptional at their jobs. All GP's are excellent too, no complaints whatsoever, they are outstanding in their work and care.

    I have since January been trying to get an appointment to see the Nurse. When I eventually see a Doctor its fine but getting to see them is in my experience very difficult. I have been told to ring in exactly 7 days prior to the appointment you want so I do. When I get through, there are none. The example today was ringing in at 0830 on the second and going to position 39. After 40 minutes my mobile phone ran out of power so I rang back on my wife's phone. When we got through we were told that there were no appointments. We have had to obtain emergency prescriptions, an unnecessary, a waste of everyone's time. I applied 21 days ago for an on line access code to do on line bookings. Why does it take so long to get this? If you sent it I would nt have had to phone all the time and waste everyone's time. Today I asked for a Nurses appointment and the excuse this time is that they are changing over for Highley patients so there are no appointments for anyone? This is outrageous. It appears chaotic, the booking system simply isnt working and the excuses I could list for an hour. Not at all impressed and will try and move to another, any other practice

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback, and please accept our apologies for any upset or frustration this is causing you. We do have some planned maintenance on the clinical system that will not allow us to access either sites whilst this work is undertaken. This will only be for a short period of time. We have put more staff on the telephones to manage the ever increasing demand on our service, and there is also a call back option so that you keep your place in the queue until a receptionist will call you back.     There are no other practices in the area ,which I think is exacerbating the problem .It is impossible to get an appointment at this practice every time you call you are told to call back the next day as there are no appointments .Thats if you can get through or in a phone queue for 1 hour .You could use call back but that just cuts out .Ive been told to go down in person to book an appointment .I waited in the queue of 20 + people from 8.20 till 9.00 to be told to come back tomorrow as there are no appointments available now .The appointment system needs reviewing urgently .If your at work their response is to get someone else to call or queue on your behalf on a daily basis how is this realistic .How is this supporting the health of the community when it’s impossible to get an appointment.

We are in the process of reviewing our appointment system and hopefully this will help alleviate some of the demand on our services. I appreciate how difficult this is for you, but General Practices is seeing more patients than ever before which is putting pressure on availability. We have increased the number of callers that can be in the telephone queue so you don't get cut off, and we have put all available staff on telephones to manage the calls more efficiently.     It is absolutely impossible to get an appointment at this GP surgery, their appointment booking system is quite simply ridiculous and exacerbating the problem (that people are not able to get a GP appointment). I have been contacted by the practice manager via text msg in December asking me to book a routine GP appointment. I am still trying to get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there was another GP practice in the area I would move in a heart beat.

    I was a new patient to the surgery last year. Unfortunately I had to visit the surgery several times over the last few months. A recent health condition was quickly diagnosed and a swift hospital referral meant I was treated and I am now on road to recovery. All the drs I have seen so far have listened and been understanding and helpful. Thank you .

    Phoned surgery around 1pm today to hear a recording telling me how important my call was and if I did not wish to wait I could use their call back system, so I took that opportunity. By the time the surgery had closed, no-one had called me back!!

    Went to gps in April with constant esophagus pain was told would do referral to hospital waited 16 weeks didn't get any appointment went back to gps symptoms getting worse to be told they forgot to do referral ..referred again as urgent by different gp was told maximum 4 week wait 9 weeks later still no appointment contact practice through nhs website to say i was now really worried but just got a text response back to say they have no control over waiting times.
