I rang for an appointment today at 8.45. I was called by a GP by 11 and was in her surgery by 11.30. Wonderful service from an understanding and approachable doctor. Mind you..... each time I need to make an appointment, this is my experience. Cannot fault this practice. Thank you all so much.

I moved to Herefordshire in Aug 2023. I am 70 yrs old and have made several appointments at Alton Street Surgery. I never have a problem calling and have always had an appointment same day. I have a problem that I did not realize was very urgent. I had an MRI in less than a week and 2 days later was called in by the surgery and next day by Hereford Hospital. They kept me in overnight and did alot of tests and were ready to send me yo Birmingham hospital for urgent spinal operation. They have an appointment for me to see the Neuro consultant next month but if anything changes,and I have list, to go straight to hospital. I am so grateful to have such an amazing surgery with amazing people. I would highly recommend Alton Street. Thank you so much

3 times I've been told by the same GP she doesn't have time to explain my illnesses to me as she is too busy! Just keep getting prescribed medication, trial and error, but no explanations as there is no time, I understand they are completely overworked, but I need to know what's wrong with me! Another doctor just guessed and prescribed antibiotics for what turned out to be a spot! Everything is always dealt with paracetamol and guess work!

Honestly, the best practice I have been registered at (and I’ve been registered with a few across different parts of the country). The reception team are keen to help and polite and the doctors I have seen are brilliant. Feel very fortunate to be registered here, especially with current demand. Thank you Alton Street Surgery.

Moving to the area in the last 18 months, I have had reason to call a few of times. On all occasions I have had great service. I was always called back quickly by a Doctor and appointments made very quickly.

After more than 15 mins waiting for the phone to be answered . After a brief explation to be told ill stop you there we are fully booked. Are you sure you need us . Is just poor service tgen to be told im no more medically trained then you are so how would i know. Just poor service . Ive been at this practice my whole life and never had such poor service . Staff member needs to be retrained in there job .

Attended the flu and covid vaccination clinic. Very quick, very efficient full marks. Oh and thank you to the clinician who had a kind word and a moment to laugh whilst it was done.

Last week I finally, reluctantly called the surgery. When I finally did get to speak with a Doctor I felt that I was only half listened to. I was told to get myself to A&E and they will sort it. They did but sorted out the main problem, not what the Doctor said. I was asked by two Doctors had I actually seen a Doctor and of course the answer was no. Their facial expressions were not what they said but what they didn't. I do not want to go into personal details here or name names but I found the whole thing felt like it was passing the buck. The reason I took over a week of symptons and gradually increasing pain before I finally felt driven is because I have felt for some time that the service is gradually getting worse when you really feel you need to speak to a Doctor, so why waste your time. I appreciate it is a busy surgery however I do feel it is now somehow lacking. It always used to be a good practice but something needs to be looked at between the balance in telephone diagnosis and proper consultation. Joy Millman

Disappointing service! Regardless many many phone calls i can not rich the surgery! When i reached finally i told by reception gp going to call back next day regarding my test results! And I received text that i need to get a phone call appointment from gp because my test results not good ! Unhelpful service!
