I have been with this surgery for couple yrs until recently i praised them. I suffer with extreme pain, muscle spasm & mobility issues. Recently i have had trouble getting medication that gives me a little bit of my life bk. Over xmas i have been unable to be mobile due to no medication.

Fabulous service. Referral by GP and I had an appointment in less than a week. Put at ease very quickly and diagnosis given straight away.... much to my relief. Very friendly staff.

I visited the dermatology department at Litchdon House in Barnstaple. I was attending for a lump and area of changing skin on my face. I was made to feel very at ease and following the examination, everything was explained very clearly to me in a caring manner. I was given information about my condition, what would happen next and what would be involved in the surgery.

I developed a mark on my face that wasn't healing, and went to my GP to get it checked out as I have previously had BSS (Basal Cell Carcinoma). I was concerned that it could be this again, so my GP referred me to the Dermatology department at Litchdon House Medical Centre, and I received an appointment within 10 days of the referral. I have now received a date for a removal if needed, which is very fast. I am very pleased with their response and they have put my mind at rest.

What a brilliant team! From the receptionist, to the nurse and the doctor. Everyone was really smiley and welcoming and clear about what was happening and what I needed to do next. The premises were comfortable, clean and welcoming. All in all a great visit. Thank you!

My baby was unwell with a rapidly deteriorating viral illness. Within 2 hours of making contact with the GP surgery, we had been phoned, reviewed in person and admitted to the paediatric ward. Staff were polite, kind and caring at all stages of our journey and we were confident that he was in the best hands. As well as providing safe care, the staff looked to attend to our comfort as a whole family unit and I had confidence in their care.

Once again being messed around by this GP, taking non of my mental health seriously and being generally unbothered, rude and reluctant to listen. I was ignored and when trying to voice my concerns interrupted and told the exact things which I explained weren't working. Very disappointed.

I called same day team as I had been unwell for several days and in considerable pain the first GP i spoke was not overly concerned but though as the pain was bad I should come in. I arrived and luckily my own GP was also on same day team. He checked me over and made a call and suggested I should go to the hospital for blood tests an scan. At no time did I feel it was anything urgent as he gave me the impression it was just a check. (he is very aware of my anxiety) I calmly went up to NDDH where it was discovered I had an appendicitis which was duly removed the following morning. I'm not allowed to name my GP but he is brilliant. He always take the greatest care. So much so that when a friend moved to Barnstaple i recommended him and the surgery to him

I have recently suffered with an ear infection and a flare up of my ulcerative colitis. I contacted my surgery about this and I needed to feedback that the service I received had been nothing less of excellence. My treatment options are complicated as I cannot take certain medications with my condition but all the receptionists, sister and GPs I have spoken to over the last couple of days were empathic and patient. I have had to have multiple urgent appointments and received timely call backs and subsequent face to face appointments. I was treated with care and kindness at every contact. If the staff did not have the information, they sought it and called me back immediately. Under a time when the NHS is under so much strain the staff at Litchdon Medical Centre (Barnstaple) really go above and beyond and deserve recognition for this. Thank you Litchdon.
