    The care has been challenging. I've encountered different doctors, but unfortunately, none of them seem to have the time to thoroughly review my medical history. Consequently, I've experienced persistent pain and bleeding for over 25 days. While there were instances where someone took the time to read my records, the prescribed medication often didn't work, or the diagnosis wasn't accurate, leaving me in continued discomfort. I've noticed random diagnoses added to my records without proper communication or follow-up, leading to decisions being made without my knowledge or contradicting what I was been told. It seems, at times, these diagnoses are used as a basis to dismiss my concerns and move on to the next patient. Despite having a manageable issue, one of the doctors I saw in the practice suggested they can't address it, and in case of worsening symptoms, I should go to a&e. This recommendation is puzzling, considering the strain on hospitals and a&e departments. It's challenging to comprehend the rationale behind neglecting non-emergency patient care until it reaches a point where a hospital visit is necessary.

    The Beaumont Villas Surgery, part of the Pathfields Medical Group in Plymouth remains closed due to an apparent "computer systems failure". No indication has been given on when they expect this busy, city centre GP surgery will reopen. All of the staff have been moved to other locations but that isn't helping their disabled patients to receive a local service. Having now spent over £100 on taxis to reach their other locations in the last two weeks; I wish they'd update us on their frontdoor notices about when they'll be reopening?

    Dear Patient, I apologise for the inconvenience that the closure of Beaumont Villa Surgery caused you. I can assure you that this was a computer systems failure and we reported this to CQC ourselves should you want to confirm this. If we had any other choice, we would not have closed, however circumstances forced us to do so. This is because the staff at the site not being able to use any computers to access your records, which is why we had to make the difficult decision to move all clinicians and appointments to other sites. The issue remained unresolved for 2-3 weeks by our technical support company and our internet provider so unfortunately, we could not provide a timeframe for resolution. I do understand that in a situation where the systems go down, we are solely reliant on computers and internet, however this is not a direct decision made by GP surgery's that treatment and records are to be electronic, this is a historic NHS governed decision that we use electronic records, so this is entirely out of our control. We were able to remain open at our other 5 sites and although this is not ideal for patients local to Beaumont Villa Surgery, we were still able to offer alternative appointments rather than nothing at all and signposting to Cumberland/111/ED although this is obviously not what we wanted for our patients. We were regularly updating our social media platforms and calling all patients that had appointments booked, however contacting each patient individually at the time was not within our capacity as we have 30,000 patients.     Requested repeat prescription Monday 7am through NHS app. Thursday called surgery as still not approved and explained i was running out of tablets and also one was for a painkiller.. Will be done that day. Friday, today, still not approved. Rang surgery at 8am and I am 1st in queue. Still on hold now and its 8.56am.

    Every month this year my medication not been sent to pharmacy, pharmacy order give me dates and nothing I then come doctor for them to do whilst there my medication has been the same for years full repeat this year every month nothing in Jan due operation so can't chase or go in so it needs to be sorted it's disgusting that they have changed, been in position 2 for 30 minutes and nothing

    Busy inner city practice. Buildings are rather old, tired and impractical and getting through on phone can be a problem. Phone back facility is a big improvement. Then you'll usually find all staff and doctors are pretty good, friendly and efficient. But almost all GP surgeries struggle these days and I think Beaumont Villa does pretty well in difficult circumstances. It's also good that being part of a larger group of surgeries you may be offered a same day appointment at another surgery. Good if you can travel easily.

    Fantastic experience! Previously we’ve had to wait for long periods of time before being seen. This year we were given a range of suitable appointment times. When we arrived we were checked in immediately by a very friendly receptionist, then shown straight into the treatment room again by very friendly practitioners and before we knew we were done and out the door. Thank you for such a well thought through experience.

    the vaccination was organized, people from the reception ,the ones assisting and giving the flu vaccine were helpful, nice and knows what they are doing. going to beaumont villa surgery is not stressful.
