  1. Review titled Provides no services

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice keeps cancelling appointments. 2 in April and previous months before this, booked then they cancel the appointment. They can’t provide any face-to-face service outside of working hours so if you work for a living this is not the surgery for you. I have had to book holiday only to have the appointments cancelled on me with 5 days’ notice.

  2. Review titled Great GP & Practice in general

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My recent interaction with the Dr has been extremely helpful on every occasion I’ve needed to contact the practice. She listens & I feel takes my situation & thoughts/feelings into account during discussions. Overall the practice is efficient & provides a good service. Very good overall considering & taking into account the pressure on the NHS.

Sent a message via AskGP and my request was rejected. Followed up with two calls to reception so that I can speak to the doctor to discuss alternative options but cannot speak to the doctor at all.

  4. Review titled Ask My GP is good

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I haven't needed to consult any of the GPs here since before the pandemic, but on previous times when I'd tried to book a face to face appointment I've had bad experiences of some of the delays that others have reported in their reviews, which left me wondering whether I'd be better off going to minor injuries or a walk in centre next time I needed medical help. This time I used the Ask My GP service on a Monday morning, after the Pharmacist I consulted at a high street chain on Sunday examined me and told me I probably needed antibiotics. I typed in my request first thing in the morning and the GP phoned me back in about an hour, confirmed I needed antibiotics ASAP, and prescribed them for me to collect from the linked JHoots pharmacy, so that I was able to start the course the same morning. All very fast and efficient. I would recommend using AskMyGP for conditions that might not need a face to face consultation.

  5. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Was asked by my sons social worker and paediatrician to send referral for my son to CAHMS due to mental health. I was told he did not fall into category to be referred and that as he had not taken any action to seek other avenues. The following day I was told to go back and ask for referral to be made again. Again I was told that having a melt down or challenging behaviour will not make CAHMS see him. My son has ADHD challenging behaviour anxiety and low mood and attachment disorder. My son has said he does not want to be here he has had enough he feels sad and empty inside. I was again told to look at other avenues. I contacted CAHMS myself and my son is on record with them as he has self harmed in the past. They informed me if a referral was made he would be triaged and seen by someone. I again asked for a referral on ask my GP as that seems to be the only way of communication these days. I had a response saying a doctor will be in contact in 3 to 10 days regarding this and if I needed help to call Samaritans or 999. I have been with the practice 27 years and I have to say over the last few years its awful. To have that attitude to a child with Mental Health problems im sorry but it is disgusting. Not only that I asked for a GP to call me on a health issue as soon as possible that was 3 days ago. Still waiting. I am now on hold and have been for 20 mins waiting to speak to reception.
