    I saw the Practice Pharmacist this morning. I had previously only had telephone appointments with her and I found face-to-face much better. She was extremely helpful, willing to listen and discuss health and treatment options. I felt very much reassured andsupported. She provides an invaluable service.

    Over the past 12 months or so I have had contact with a wide range of people at the practice: receptionists; nurses; GPs and practice pharmacists. They have been unfailingly polite and very helpful. I have been referred to a few things at the hospital and any delays have been due to the hospital, not the practice. i have absolutely no complaints about the help I have received. Crowded waitings rooms might point at others not having similar experiences, but when I speak to friends and family (in other health areas) whose practices don't have walk-in sessions at all and don't even take blood tests, resulting in a 25 mile return journey to the nearest hospital, I count myself very lucky to be registered here. Thank you to everyone involved.

    I visited on 15.11.22 at 9.30am. The surgery was exceptionally busy with a long queue to check in and impatient people complaining about the long wait for walk in and wait. The receptionist was a reassuring presence, unfailingly calm, friendly, helpful and polite in the face of a lot of tetchy customers. I would like her to know that her patience and empathy were much appreciated.

    I have always found Fairfield surgery to be professional and accommodating from previous meetings with GPs. On this occasion my call was quickly triaged by reception and I had a speedy same day response from the GP. I was booked in to see them the following morning where I had a very reassuring appointment - the GP was professional, efficient and effective. Overall, a great job running the surgery despite challenging times - keep up the good work!

    I just called the surgery to get an urgent appointment. The new phone call back system meant I didn't hold for ages. I really friendly member of staff called me back. Then it seemed within minutes I was called by a GP who gave me a face-to-face appointment this morning. Thank you so much!

    Great to see the surgery getting back to normal after lockdown. The only problem with the surgery is the poor telephone system in trying to get an appointment. The system was acceptable, whereby you were told your position in the queue, then it changed to a ring back system. Now there is nothing but an awful music with no response, twice I have had to visit the reception at the Centre to make appointments and I will have today. May I suggest a patients group be set up as there was in the past.

    After being in the phone for 20 mins waiting to be answered, I asked to book an appointment which I was told I could not because they are only booking 4 weeks at a time, when I asked when I could book, I was met with a ‘huff’ and then was hung up on. So rude, an unpleasant experience, I am now trying to change practice. This is not an isolated incident.

    Despite the press coverage of GP's not being accessible, the team at Fairfield Park have gone above and beyond to help me and my family. They always call when they say they will, it is simple to book an appointment and the walk in clinic is open if you need to see someone that day. They have worked hard to get back to pre-covid working conditions for the benefit of their patients. I feel privileged to have them as my GP. Thank you all.

    I saw a Dr this morning in less than an hour from phoning to make an appointment. Admittedly I live close by but I think this sort of service deserves 5 Star. I have been at the surgery for quite a few years now and have always found everyone kind and helpful even if things go awry in the system which is not very often. Thank you so much everyone at the surgery for all your help.

    When calling the surgery please be prepared for a wait of anything up to 30 or 40 minutes, no matter what time you call. When you do get an answer please also be prepared to spend more time discussing your case with the receptionist than you will with the doctor if they eventually allow you to have an appointment. Once you do get an appointment the care and professionalism of all the medical staff is faultless. Sorting out the problems of getting the phone answered surely cannot be on the wit of man!
